Overpriced and Under-deliveredPaid $15 for what was essentially 8 damp chicken nuggetsThe online reviews had really hyped this place up for my party but quality of the food left much to be desired, especially for the price. I don't know if it is their takeout food that's poor quality or it's their entire dining experience but this will be one restaurant that we will be skipping from now on

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The food is more of an upscale Chinese restaurant, yet not too expensive. The homemade crispy noodles (served free with your meal) dipped in their sweet and sour sauce, or put into a soup, or eaten plain (as is) are very, VERY good! Their food seems to be a bit "lighter" than most Chinese restaurants. For instance, I ordered the Moo Goo Gai Pan and the sauce isn't as "heavy" or thick as most restaurants. Same with the egg drop soup...it isn't as "thick" as other places, which leaves the meal somewhat more bland, however, it is still very good. The ingredients seemed to be more fresh than other Chinese restaurants. I recommend trying out this restaurant. It's not too expensive, yet a tad more pricey than others (but, this isn't known for being a basic generic fast food-like Chinese restaurant) and the service is great. The only criticism I had, as mentioned previously, was that the taste was somewhat more on the bland side. Next time I will try something spicey and see if that adds a bit more flavor to a dish.

Beef lo main was absolutely perfect. I especially appreciate the quality of the meat, there were no weird pieces or fat. Perfectly spiced and with a little kick.Love complimentary chips. Makes waiting so much more pleasing. We also had green Thai basil curry and it was great as well. A lot better than some we had in Thai restaurants. Generous portions. We will definitely be back.

Gave this restaurant a try and was pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent and the food was very good. Spicy was spicy, the way it should be. Not your run of the mill Chinese food and not the typical menu choices. We will definitely be back.

Nothing, and I mean nothing, compares to the exquisite food and top notch service at Szechuan 132! My family and I have been going there for 30+ years. If you live in Wilmington, or are just visiting, you MUST try their food!! If you don’t see what you want on the menu, ask for it, I bet they’ll make it for you! It’s definitely a Wilmington staple!!!

Joe the boss is a delight, always round the tables talking asking suggesting. The whole crew is well trained, nice and efficient. Oh, and the grub is delicious often with a twist. What more is there to ask?

Ordered for my birthday. Best decision ever. Thank you so much. Food delicious!

This warm and comfortable restaurant has a different menu from the "typical" Chinese restaurant. They make everything from scratch including the complementary crispy noodles and duck sauce served before every meal. The menu includes duck and some unusual items. Prices are reasonable. I had a chicken specialty stir fry, my wife had a shrimp specialty stir-fry and my adult son had duck. The stir-fries with fresh veggies and did not have a hint of grease; fresh and bright. My son's duck was perfect, not overcooked, with a tasty brown sauce. We had Crab Rangoon for an appetizer, and we can tell they were not from a frozen plastic bag and made from scratch. Service was excellent. Staff use rolling carts as is used in Chinatown NYC restaurants. This allows for relaxed serving with no hurried "food runners" hand carrying dishes and rushing to throw them on the table I believe the success of this location is due to the fact that the single owner and wife (Joseph and Sally) work the restaurant every day, all day. We spoke to Joseph, and he shared he worked extensively in Chinatown NYC for many years before moving to North Carolina. This restaurant was recommended to us by several of our neighbors as one of their "Go To" places. We will be back often. (Norm and Maureen)

The food was very, very delicious. Probably the best Chinese food I have eaten in a long time. The price was a little bit more than I expected, but maybe it is due to the inconveniences of doing business with this pandemic that is ruining many restaurants. So, forget about the price! LOL... I will type it one more time, that food was outstanding. I ordered House Lo Mein (Shrimp, beef and chicken), Fried Rice, General Tso's Chicken (no spicy). ????

I have ever had. Literally inedible. I gave it to my dog, The cashier explained very nicely to me that the wings were marinated and might be pink inside. I said thats fine, as long as they were fully done. She said they were very delicious. They we4ren't. The worst food I've had from a restaurant in a long time. The rice was brown and crispy the wings soggy and mushy. I guess they just gave me days old food for $23.
