It's not how you start but how you end!As we walked in, one of the servers told us to sit anywhere we wanted. We noticed that the few tables available had cups, used napkins, and a few plates from previous diners. We checked the outdoor area but it's currently closed. The signage said it was because of short staffed. We sat at table that needed to be cleaned. Perhaps the servers thought that we were there before becauss it took them about 10 minutes to coms greet us and clean the table. We ordered some of their Monday-Friday lunch special: Chicken Quesadilla for $7.99, and Two slides w/ two toppings plus a pasta salad (contains mushrooms) for $7.99. Additionally, we had a dozen of buffalo chicken wings with celery and ranch dressing. It's not a brick oven pizza place but it was delicious! I had a peperoni & chicken slide and a peperoni & peppers slide. Not 100% sure what sauce they use but it tasted really good. Most pizza places don't add enough cheese to the pizzas but Slice kf Life Pizzeria does add plenty of cheese even without asking for more. The Guac that came with the Chicken Quesadilla was fresh!I thought we were going to eat all what we ordered but ended taking home some. A good pizza place in Downtown.
I recently visited this spot while vacationing in Wilmington, NC. I ordered a veggie slice and the veggie nachos and, I must say, they were greatttttttt!. It was a very large serving at a great price. I was able to eat them 2 days later, no kidding, it was a generous amount of food. The veggies were fresh and the different nachos added a great hint if color and nutrition. I really enjoyed these nachos. The pizza slice was delicious. I RECOMMEND SLICE OF LIFE, WILMINGTON , NC. Thanks for a great dining experience.
I've only ever had this catered, but both times it's been congealed and cold when I've eaten it. They might cook it too soon before delivery? The pasta salad is really good.
I've been here several times, and never had a single issue with the food or staff. The crust has the right amount of crunch, the toppings are always fresh, and always leaves me feeling good afterwards. On top of that, they have a nice sized menu, which only becomes limited during the late night hours. It's a little bit more on the expensive side, but you're ultimately getting what you pay for.
Yes you can get a slice of pizza and at a reasonable price. On top of that the pizza was amazing - New York Style pizza. They also have outside seating and a full bar (it's a Pub duh). I liked the location and the staff was nice. They were very efficient too.
Food - We visited late a night and were excited to find that they were still serving food. The pizza was pretty good.Service - They did not seem short-staffed, but getting our check so we could pay and head out was an arduous process. We were eventually able to get someone's attention and settle the bill.Atmosphere - Neat spot, chill vibe.
I like this place!! ?? I am not gonna lie if I love new York Pizza is closed this is the next best thing. Their pizza is good & if you drink alcohol you can have your cake & eat it too!!! ( literally) ???? they have my fav: cheese cake!! It stays open late night & the people aren't half bad. You really can't lose here!! By the way they also have big screen tv's. Hey I wonder if they would start giving me a discount for this great review.....maybe 1 day!!!!?? Still tell them I sent ya!! & ENJOY
My wife, my in-laws and myself were walking around downtown Wilmington when we all decided it was time for something to eat. We decided on Fork and Cork but the wait was too long so we decided to go across the street to Slice of Life.We walked in and sat ourselves and it wasn’t too long before our server “AM” arrived to take our drink orders. My wife ordered half and half teas for herself, our grandson and me. Our waitress promptly asked “What’s that?” Not “which version?”, not “with tea or lemonade?”, and certainly “tea?” This should have been our first hint that being a waitress was not “AM’s” calling in life. Our drink orders arrived without issue and our waitress took our orders. My wife ordered a medium White Pizza for herself and her mother and I ordered a medium pizza with sausage, bacon, mushrooms and red onion. Eventually I excused myself to go to the bathroom and in the interim, our order arrived. When our order arrived, we received two medium white pizza’s with sausage, bacon, mushrooms and red onion. When my wife questioned our waitress about the order, she insisted that the bastardized white pizza’s in front of us was indeed what I ordered. At this point, everyone just went with it and was halfway through the first pizza by the time I returned. So the good news here is that the pizza turned out to be pretty good. The crust had good flavor and the right amount of crunch and the toppings were fresh and delicious. While the pizza was the saving grace of this little story, the pricing was another stick in the eye for Slice of Life. Because of the price of the white pizza and the expense of the additional toppings, our dinner was about 20 dollars more expensive than it should have been due to our waitress’s bungle. No offer of a fix by the waitress was offered and she was insistent that the delicious abomination pizza’s were indeed what we ordered. So, the bottom line for Slice of Life is that they are worth a try but make sure that your order is 100 percent correct or make sure that “AM” is either not working or has managed to get herself fired which I would think is the preferred response to her incompetence.
In the past month, I've had amazing, prompt service. Today the crew was great. Even the kitchen guy made great conversation. Good place and the staff works hard. Cheers to the managment that hired a good crew!
Great little pizza spot right in the heart of historic downtown Wilmington. A little pricey, but it's good pizza and you can tell where the money went. Good service and a full bar make this place worth a visit.
