Biscuits are fantastic, bacon is nicely crisp, sausage gravy is just right. Shout-out to Savannah, our server. Such a pleasant, warm and lovely personality to greet you in the morning. Excellent service and an inexpensive breakfast place. I ordered my eggs over-medium and the yolks came runny, not cooked (like a lot of other restaurants do). The server didn't let my coffee mug get lower than a 1/4 empty. The plate portions are a good size and I didn't leave still feeling hungry.
The service staff were very nice. The menu and prices decent. The servings generous. Coffee was good. That's the good stuff.The place wasn't too clean. I ordered two eggs, tomato slices and burger steak. My husband ordered biscuits and gravy with hash brown potatoes crispy with onions. Our food was only slightly warmer than room temperature. It was also quite bland. The burger steak was dry and dense. I ate the tomatoes only. ?
Absolutely love the place. Small and cozy. Crowded. Not pretentious. Very folksy. We had breakfast. No questioning when we asked for cheese in eggs or anything added in. Like mayo with my sliced tomatoes. They were out of banana pudding, which means its probably good. Good portions. Great prices. Friendly service. Will definitely come back when we visit Wilmington again.
We ate here two nights in a row. It's so nice to find a down-home restaurant with good cooking. Last night we had roast beef and a chef's salad (great Thousand Island dressing!), and tonight we both had the specials, beef over rice and turkey with dressing. The beef was like a stew, and the turkey had a good roasted flavor. Best of Wilmington, IMHO!

Had the open face burger with gravy and fries! Had to get a to go plate, so much food! Very good! Atmosphere is cozy and quiet! If laid back is your thing, this place is for you!

For a great breakfast with a very efficient staff, this place rocks! I had the 3 egg omelette with bacon and cheese and the diced potatoes. I had to try a pancake as well. The portions here are very adequate and the food fresh. My friend had the pork chops for breakfast. He was very satisfied as well. Nana, our server was quick witted, attentive and very pleasant. If you’re in the area, a good place to eat any meal. No shortage of customers!
