We enjoyed 2 meals here during our time in NC. Everything we had was delicious. The banana pudding our server gave us for our ride home was to die for. And when we asked our kids what their favorite part of the trip was, they replied Rooster & The Crow. Thanks for amazing food and a great memory!
Food was absolutely amazing. Our server Sam was awesome. We will now crave this food until we return.
Very good service and food. A bit pricey but worth it. My favorite was the cheese fries with homemade ranch dip. We will definitely return.
BEST FRENCH TOAST AND CHEESY GRITS OF MY LIFE!!! Worth the wait! Put your name on the list and go walk around.So these CHEESY GRITS were so savory and creamy and black peppery, I could have eaten an entire pot! I am going home and I am going to try so hard to recreate this!? and that French toast...MMMM!!...ok so it was THICK and the bread pulled apart not like regular bread. And it had almost like a crunchy cinnamon sugary coating, WOW JUST WOW! with that said, in my opinion, the fried chicken breast could have used more salt and i prefer a thicker batter on my fried chicken...but that's me!Also the waitress Savannah was just the sweetest and so helpful!
Excellent food and service. We sat at the bar and started with fried green tomatoes. As far as entrees, I had the fried chicken with sides of collards and fried cabbage. My wife had the chicken pot pie. Everything tasted great but the fried cabbage was the highlight of the meal.
This place is delicious! Such a small, fun restaurant. I had the Mac and cheese and it was delicious, I recommend adding the BBQ. My husband had the fried chicken and I’ve never seen him eat so much.
Excellent Southern cuisine. Every e loved the sandwiches. Shrimp or catfish Poorboys, fried green tomato BLT, brisket we're fantastic. The banana pudding was "like slipping into a warm bath". Thos is a bucket list restaurant.
everything was so good! we ordered the fried chicken, with collards & mac, the chicken pot pie, truffle fries, and banana puddingthe chicken was as good as everyone said it would be, the pot pie was unreal! banana pudding is a must have and i don't even like bananas!!!!
If you haven’t tried this place, you’re missing out! The fried chicken was AMAZING!!!! There was no way I could finish it in one sitting, so I took home the leftovers. Once reheated it was just as tender, juicy and full of flavor as it was when I initially sunk my teeth in. We had our pup with us, the staff treated her like a princess (which she thinks she is).
I had one of the best meals I have had in a long time! The place was so clean and had a wonderful atmosphere. We got to sit in the corner next to their instagram wall on a platform. My group and I felt so fancy. Now to get to the important part the food was STELLER! I ordered the hot chicken sandwich with fries, my mother ordered the fried chicken with collards and mac & cheese, and lastly my father ordered the chicken and waffles. We shared bites so we could all try each meal and they were all fantastic! Plus we ended our meal with the best banana budding (photo attached)! The best thing about our experience was Sam our waiter. He was such a pleasant person and made the meal that much more enjoyable. We will 100% come back.
