I moved to Wilmington in November and this was my first visit to any Port City Java. We did have a bigger order of 2 bagels and 2 egg sandwiches, I was SO looking forward to my meatless egg sandwich with veggies and instead we got 2 bacon and egg sandwiches. SO very disappointed.Coffee was good but breakfast did not cut it for me.
The location by Kohls is tricky to get into, service friendliness varies at this location and the indoor seating is strange. The new tip options are awkward between staff and customer.
I go here every single morning before work in order the same thing every day. It’s always delicious and I love it. The downside is that the drive-through always takes forever and when you get to the window it’s a complete turn off because they hand you the credit card machine to pay instead of just taking your card. And they tell you to answer the question which is if you want to tip or not. It’s almost kind of annoying having to take the credit card machine into your car and it made it so that every time I go I pay by App now Because it makes you feel pressured to put a tip in there
The food here is good when they get it correct. They are continuously getting my order wrong after being very specific when I order to try and combat them getting it wrong. The coffee is also ok, the flavor is never really consistent and can be good one day and bad another. They are also very slow on some days, which is understandable.
Fresh coffee, friendly faces and wonderful atmosphere. Every single barista at this location is an absolute star and they're what makes Port City Java special. The genuinely great coffee is an added bonus at this point.We stan 100%.
Whoever was working at 2:00 Saturday 2/26 made the most bomb coffee, and the drive threw person Haley was solid and patient cuz we took forever to order! So good
My favorite place to go for coffee. My drink order is always a little complicated, but they get it perfect almost every time; the mocha shake is to die for. Only problem is their rewards program!!! It's a joke... you get $5 off for every $100 spent. That translates to 3/4 of a free 16 oz. mocha shake for every $100 spent. It doesn't even equal a free coffee.
Dropped in for some iced coffee and a smoothie. The iced coffee was half full of ice when finished. The smoothie was made with unripened mango bits.
I forgot to ask for her name but our cashier was an angel, very sweet + good service! With her recommendations, I got the Mediterranean Wrap and an iced chai with vanilla and was pretty satisfied with my order, especially with my drink. My friend got an iced red eye and it tasted a bit watered down but not bad. Appreciated the options here, does the job fulfilling that caffeine fix :)
I was a little disappointed that they don't carry the Almond Joy coffee any longer. The cashier advised me if I can remember what the ingredients were and she could make it for me. I haven't been here in about 2 years.. ma'am og course I don't remember.. I just always ordered it and it was served. Staff wasn't very friendly at all
