Fantasy authentic vietnamese hole in the wall. Everything is made from stratch just by tasting the food. Every bowl of rice, noodles and fried goods are perfectly crafted by the chef and owner. The broth for the pho can be seen glistening from the umami filled spoonful of every bite. The robust flavors from all the spice mix is incredible. The menu has an amazing selection ranging from the classic bowl of pho to a fried pork chop straight from the street vendor in Vietnam. They even serve Boba tea in 7 to 8 different flavors! The staff were amazing and friendly. Very prompt to acknowledge and seat the guest. Food came out quickly like a street vendor but quality of a 4 star restaurant. Now for the cons. The fried egg rolls are extremely small and barely has any feeling. When egg rolls are this small the wrap tends to be too thick and makes the bite a bit tougher than usual. Not a 5 star but I can't do 4.5 on Google reviews.

Super cheap, fresh and tasty. Not a crazy amount of options, but all the Pho bases are covered and you will leave full (with leftovers).

I love this place!!!The food are amazing, the servers are so friendly and your food coming out quickly doesn’t matters if they’re crowded or not!The best Vietnamese food in town too!

Real score 2.0Had the combo pho, it didn't have any meat. So I ordered more brisket. The bemrisket came in broth with one slice of brisket. No rare, no tendon and no tripe. Very dissapointing! I've been here once before, and will never go back! This is what I ended up with.I thought maybe it was at the bottom.

I love this place! My mom and I frequently dine here, and it has made me fall in love with Vietnamese food, and asian cooking as a whole. The Food is cheap, portions are good, and the quality is great. This tastes and feels like Real, authentic food, and we love it. The Bon bo hué with the knuckle is my favorite dish, and I get it everytime I come here. And if you want to try your hand at making some of the foods served here, the nearby Saigon market is here to stock all the ingredients you need. I highly recommend Pho Basil!

The first time I came here it was ok… I decided to give it a second chance. That was a big mistake… I came in had to sit myself and clean my table. I walked in before other guest and was still serviced last. The portion size was ridiculous.I asked for water way before ordering and never got it while eating my pho. The food isn’t authentic either… Very Americanized… Customer service was horrible from each waiter. It’s like it was just a ton of college students working. Also as I was checking out I had a roach assisting me with the whole paying process. HORRIBLE!!!

Was looking for some Vietnamese food while visiting Wilmington, and this place did not disappoint. Started off with the fried sampler, which was a great deal with a bit of each of the deep fried appetizers. Everything was fried well, not super oily and the sweet fish sauce dip was really good. My main meal was the spicy beef noodles (bun bo hue), and it was delicious. The portion was good, albeit the noodles to meat ratio was skewed toward noodles. The broth was great, ery authentic, and the lemongrass chili they give you on the side, set it off for me. They even had Vietnamese coriander, which I rarely see provided at other Viet place. My kid had the pho dac biet (special) and loved it. I tasted the bone broth and it was very flavorful. My other kid had shrimp fried rice and was happy they didn’t cheap on the shrimp and gave a large portion. His fried rice was great. My wife had the vegan pho, which she said was just okay because it was on the sweet side. Overall, really enjoyed the food and the staff was super friendly. Definitely recommended.

Don't be put off by its location or the fact that it's currently next to a dry cleaners. When you open the door you feel like you have been taken to another place , it truly has a western yet asian feel that's it's all neatly merged and tidy..not overwhelmingat all. We we first walked in this amazing place , we were immediately greeted by the staff and asked if we wanted to be seated or to seat ourselves. Since we came at the best time when we were the only ones there..don't get fooled, we weren't there long before it got busy quickly?. Oh, yes ..were was I..oh, as we sat and looked at the menus we were totally surprised with the amount of options that were available. I won't go into what we ate as we were greedy, but the service was amazing and the place was comfortable and very clean..unlike a few places we have tried recently. The staff knew the food and the serving sizes and they displayed the Pho Bowels on the counter and we were surprised to see they were bigger than others in the area.and tasted so much better with full flavor. The staff is young ,but very friendly and very quick to be of service to you. The only drawback was not the restaurant, but when you try it out , please make sure you try to sit away from people who enjoy the food so much they slurp..to be fair that is a custom to slurp as a way to show how great the food is in many foreign countries. This was more annoying than anything, but I guess they were just another satisfied customer as we were and they showed it by slurping....I'm sure leaving a tip is another way to show appreciation as well?‍♂️. But seriously...try the place out and come with an appetite ..Great place for a date or special get together spot. ..I will say this , we had the seafood pho bowl it was just a marriage of joyful taste.

The pho was decent, lacking some flavor. Spring rolls were great. Our server was lacking basic manners and obviously didn’t care to be there.

We stopped in for dinner while in town on vacation and regretted our choice from the moment we walked in. Customer service was poor...when you're told to get your own menu and find a seat while the staff just mile around, you know you're in for disappointment. We ordered and upon getting subpar appetizers, decided to leave before getting our entrees and head to Ida Thai in Carolina Beach. If you want good food, good service and a welcoming environment, avoid Pho sail and head to Ida Thai, or any other option in the area.
