We had high hopes based on the reviews from other diners. Our server was wonderful and the ambience is lovely. We had to wait 35 minutes for our food which would have been ok if the food was great. The lasagna was mostly a large layer of cheese and very undercooked noodles. The seafood bucatini lacked flavor. The sausage pappardelle was the best dish we ordered. I’m sorry to write a bad review but I would want to know before going.
Wow, great Italian food in Wilmington! Posts is made in house. If you order the pappardelle, you can choose meat sauce, meatballs or sausage, or two or all three combined!
Excellent, lively environment... Flavorful food, great service. Had the Pasta Nicola and Cabernet Braised Short Ribs which were both superb. Oh, and got seated immediate even during the 7pm dinner rush. Definitely try it out!
Authentic Italian cuisine in a small, somewhat austere space with great service. Homemade pasta is the difference. Nothing fancy but it doesn't need to be. Recommended.
We had a birthday gathering of 11 at Nicholas last night. Our server, Sydney, was a Rock Star. She made sure our wine glasses and water glasses were always full. We ordered 2 white pizzas for appetizers which came one after the other so all pieces were hot and delicious. Our salads came out first and all entrees followed at the same time. All of the entrees were absolutely delicious! My peppercorn ribeye with Gorgonzola sauce ranked in top 5 steaks that I have ever had. THANK YOU, NICHOLAS, FOR A WONDERFUL EVENING!’
Great food, great service. Pizza and pasta were delicious. I loved the Nicola salad with shrimp. A few outdoor tables available which were quiet and shaded. We will be back!
The food wad great. The service was good, but the drinks all tasted virgin. So not terrible experience at all, but a bummer worth waiting a long time for a hostess to seat us. The bread was really good too!
Great food and service. Great seafood and pasta dishes.. Flexible on menu substitions. Very reasonable prices Our server Ashley was the best.
We went because of the great reviews, but our experience wasn’t good at all. I ordered takeout and got the chicken parm and the chicken was very dry and had no flavor at all. My husband ordered the shrimp alfredo, he couldn’t even eat much of it because he said it didn’t taste good at all. We both got more noodles than meat, and the “loaf of bread” was so hard. The price was crazy too $45 for both and the bowls weren’t even filled all the way.
oh my gosh! this place was awesome. Such a friendly staff and stellar service. Most importantly the food was freaking delicious
