Found this place on Insta while trying to find places to try. Definitely a must! It was fresh and so good. I had the smoked chicken Nachos, my son had the smoked chicken sandwich and husband had the Mahi Mahi with sides.
I was looking forward to trying the BBQ here. I’m visiting Wilmington and craving good BBQ. The atmosphere was pleasant and really nice staff. I did not enjoy the food, it was very salty. I had Ribs and pulled pork. I realize there are variances in peoples salt tolerance but this was way to much. The flavor was good, just to salty to enjoy. I didn’t have the time or energy to complain. My star rating is not reflective of the service, just the food.
Great place, awesome staff, nice beer selection, food is awesome. I've tried a few different sides, the fried shrimp and the desserts. All were really delicious. I've heard really good things about the wings too. I'm a vegetarian so I can't give my own opinion on them but everyone I've ever talked to about Moe's raves about the wings.
We stopped at the Wilmington NC location on our way home from the beach. My husband really wanted some Eastern BBQ before we headed home. This place was amazing. He had pulled pork and some smoked chicken wings and raved about both. I had the smoked turkey and it was the best I have ever eaten. Even our 2 year old granddaughter preferred it over the chicken tenders which she normally loves. The Mac and cheese was amazing too. The jalapeño corn bread was on point and the best I have ever had. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was really clean including the restroom. We will definitely go back.
Food was good even though a little bit spicy. Prices reasonable. A BBQ joint but only has brisket on Tuesday??? We were there on Friday.Seems like a good place to hang out since many people were.
My gut told me not to go here; But of course I decided to be logical and give it a chance. Few small things I can forgive: My order was wrong, I plainly asked for the barbeque sandwich meal with two sides, I received the platter...ok no big deal. There was no parchment on the tray and the slice of garlic bread was sitting directly on the surface of the tray, and who knows how well these trays are being cleaned or sanitized. The meal overall didn't appear appetizing, I'm not so concerned with looks because the food could be good either way so take that for what you will; Presentation could be a lot better though. I ultimately decided to ask for a refund based on the the proportion of food that I received for how much I payed for it. I wish I had a pic, but you'll be paying around 15 bucks for hardly any food, and this was my main issue. You get two small sides that couldn't fill up a newborn baby, and the amount of barbeque was absolutely ridiculous. This is why I didn't even try the food. The final problem I had was with the manager they have out there. As soon as I asked for a refund, she got really upset and touchy about it. She then said that she could make right, but then she flipped, as if to get back at me, she said no that I was just going to get a refund. I let her know that I'll be checking to make sure my refund came in because I payed with a card, and if there was any issue then I will be calling. Her immediate response was "oh you will be calling". So, what does that necessarily mean?? Was she planning on not giving me my refund? Idk. All I know is that I wasn't treated right by her, and the proportion of food is simply not worth the money that you will pay. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
Went to this place for dinner and ordered Smoked Wings platter. Thought that it will be spicy or will come with spicy hot sauces. The smoked wings were good but it wasn’t spicy and they don’t have good hot sauces.
This is the 6th Moe's I've been to. I understand that it recently came back from a bad fire. There was no telling of this on the inside. Great bar, they sell Bushwickers, lots of seating, plenty of sauce, and other condiments. I also enjoyed their outdoor seating that kept the bugs away. They had the general Moe's atmosphere going on. The place was busy too, not that they weren't handling it by any means. Food came in a timely fashion, it was the first Moe's I've been to where they brought it to you. The staff was really friendly.On to the food. I had the burger special. I was a little hesitant about ordering a burger at Moe's but it was really good, not overcooked. I could taste the meat, lots of toppings. My sides were very good, beans were a bit warm but they cooled down in a second. Sweet potatoe casserole was the standard Moes. Ordered the wing sides. Payed a total of 15 and a few cents for a great meal.
First time in. Staff friendly. Everything, sides included, was fresh, flavourful and homemade. Brisket and pulled pork were just right. My wife is gluten intolerant and asked if the great looking cornbread was gluten free. Being told it was not she was offered an additional side. Above and beyond. We will be back
First time here. The food was great. I had the smoked wings and the wife had the pulled pork. The collards were on point!!! Also reccomend the slaw. Seems to be a pretty popular spot. A lot of to-go orders and pick ups.The establishment itself was pretty cool. Wish it could have been a little cleaner. A lot of dirty tables. Shouldn't be this way since all the employees have to do is wipe them down, you take your own trash to the can.I was a little disappointed in the wait time, but hey things happen. Also, the drinks were in cans because either the drink machine is broken or they simply don't use it. In this case, doesn't look like free refills on soft drinks. The prices are a tad on the high side, but I would definitely eat here again.
