This is by far the best Italian food I have ever had. Service is always wonderful, and the food is always delicious. Me and my husband come here every year for our anniversary. This is the first place we ate as a married couple, and we come here for any celebration we can! Personally I love the chicken parmigiana, and my husband always tries something new.
Amazing food and staff! We just left and keep raving about the food! We had the garlic bread and eggplant parm as apps - so good and perfectly cooked! The three types of ravioli in vodka sauce and chicken parm were also (chef’s kiss) perfection! I don’t know why we waited so long to try this place, but we will definitely be back sooner than later! Thanks for a wonderful evening!
Went with the family for a evening meal. As soon as we tried to order a child's meal, we were told they had run out of chicken for children; ok I can understand that, but then they were out of other items and it was only 5 pm, they open at 4 and there was no other customers there. I tried to order a glass of wine from the list of ones sold by a glass but everyone I asked for, I was told they couldn't sell me a glass if the bottle had not been opened, thus I would have to order the whole bottle. I gave up after the third one; if they don't want to sell a wine by a glass, they should not list it that way. I asked if they had cocktails, and the waiter brought out a board with a list of about 6 cocktails, two margaritas were listed, so I ordered one, then the waiter comes back and said they were out of Tequila???? I finally got something called a Flamingo which was ok. They ran out of calamari. A nice bread was served with oil and vinegar. The Caesar salad was good except for some pieces of rotten lettuce in both salads. The Pollo Limone was not very good, Chicken Piccata was ok, but not the best, and the Basil Chicken Pollo was ok, but I wouldn't order it again. We had good service from our waiter and when we left we saw a sign on the door saying they had only one cook, so be patient.
Our waitress was attentive and kind. She checked in with us consistently to see if there was anything we needed. The owner came out and delivered a plate personally. Our dinner was made special by a complimentary gift. The dishes are large but delicious. Prices are reasonable for what you get and remember there's terrible inflation right now.
My experience here was truly lovely. The food was absolutely amazing, i got the spinach ravioli and I must say I definitely need to come back and try the other dishes on my next vacation to Wilmington. I ordered some canolis which were veryyy delicious. My friends were all satisfied with their food as well everyone pretty much finished their whole plate. My mom also told the waitress it was my birthday so they gave me a little something to take home with me ;) I do recommend making a reservation prior to your visit. The owner is a very kind woman who made my vacation even more special. The experience was very heart-warming and overall wonderful.
Dinner with the family. Got the fried calamari for an appetizer; crispy and delicious. For the main course, got the pollo limone, ravioli trio, and the spaghetti bolognese. The pollo limone and the ravioli were outstanding. The spaghetti bolognese taste was pretty bland, kind of disappointing. The service was excellent. Completes the meal with desserts, almond cake, tiramisu, and limoncello. All outstanding.
Always look forward to eating here when in town. Real Italian food prepared to order by an Italian chef. Don't expect a high-end designer interior. They did what they could with an old building and a shoestring startup budget. It does have its own charm. It's clean and comfortable. Remember, your meal will be freshly prepared to order, so don't go if you're rushing to a show. Relax and enjoy a glass of wine while your meal is freshly prepared.
Mikaela greeted us for our first visit here and provided some excellent recommendations and service. We had a Caesar salad to start accompanied with their excellent bread and delightful red wine. The Chicken Cody was fantastic and the cannolis were the perfect way to end our dinner. Looking forward to coming back soon to try the other dishes!
The good people of Mamma Lucia made this the best Mother’s Day dinner ever! Our large family was treated like royalty with attentive and personal service, great atmosphere, and exquisitely prepared authentic Italian cuisine. Everything was A++. Highly recommended!
Best Italian restaurant in Wilmington by far. This is a hidden gem, the food was superb as was the service. All of the food is fresh, made from scratch. Jake was a great server, providing only the highest quality customer service in the industry. It’s 5/5 for me, my new favorite Italian restaurant.
