Having lived in Wilmington less than a year, we are always on the look out for a good lunch place. We found Mac’s and decided to try it and wow was it yummy! The Brisket Burnt Ends (appetizer) was delicious! We each had a good beer, I had the Cuban sandwich and my husband had the smoky chicken quesadilla. Both very good. Service was friendly and prompt, we were seated right away and best part, we didn’t have to drive around trying to find parking. We will be back soon.

Good food and friendly service. They were a little slower than I expected but not as bad S other places I have been. The atmosphere is great with lots of glass garage
They have the best burnt ends!! It says they are limited but I hope they will keep them!!
From the pickles to the brisket to the barbecue, this place was well worth the stop. The food was great. The service was attentive. The prices were very reasonable. Great all around restaurant.

We ate here last night for the first time. We both got the brisket platter. I had beans and tots, he had beans and sweet potato fries. The meat was very good. It was very tender and flavorful. The only complaint I have is that the 3rd slice I had was mostly fat. For $24, I feel the meat should've been trimmed a little more. I am sure we will be back but will try other items.
Food was pretty good and couldn’t finish the platter between two people. The macaroni and cheese was really good as well as the collar greens by my surprise. My husband and I will return again. Try the macaroni and cheese! The chicken was very juicy and the most eaten out of our platter.
Mac's is a hidden gem of a place in Wilmington. We eat regularly at the Tyron st location in Charlotte. It is my 4 yo grand daughter's favorite place, even over Micky Ds. Lol. They have the best smoked eings I have found outside my own. Good sides and very good BBQ. The place in Wilmington was surprisingly not very busy. Great place to hang out with friends. Great bar and a huge selection of beer. You are missing out Wilmington.!!¡!!
