The owners of this business are rude, crude, and ruthless. I was harassed by Karen, and she verbally attacked me when I was checking out. I have witnessed this in the past but never thought I would be a victim of her wrath. She apparently hates this country and the majority of the people in it. She will never get another dime if mine, and I will tell everyone I know about how bad I was treated. I now only shop at Whole Foods and Tidal Creek.
Shocking how Marie (think she's one of the owners)working in the Cafe was so rude to my daughter yesterday as if waiting on a customer buying a pre- made wrap was a total inconvenience to her. Clearly, if you're not purchasing anything from the Cafe then you're a total waste of this woman's time. Sorry we even came in. It's not like the place was swamped. We've been customers at Lovey's for years. Not anymore! We've never been told to take our wraps to the front of the store to check out. What the heck?! Oh, you mean where your other friendly employee was working? Really sick of the "well, we're short staffed right now blah, blah. blah". No excuse for being rude to customers. Ya'll have certainly never been the friendliest place to shop. I tried overlooking it for years but now my daughter and I are both officially done. You should appreciate your repeat customers not run them off!
Not going to leave a bad review, but I come in here OFTEN. At least 2-3 times a week. No one is nice to me, and no one has ever offered me a membership. Only ask if I have one and proceed to be offstandish. If anyone had ever offered me a membership or let me know the benefits I may be able to purchase one… but y’all are just not friendly. Maybe it’s my face, idk. But damn. If I didn’t love the convenience and the selections I wouldn’t come back but I do love the store.

A gem of a local market with charm and a variety of better-quality food. Both hot and cold buffets are put out every day for takeout.
This is NOT the place to shop if you're a minority. When I went in there I was eyed and then later followed. Then finally, I was standing in an aisle, there were several people around me (all white), and one of the staff (white) came up to me specifically and said in a mean tone, "Can I help you?!" And you how you can tell by the way a person says it if they genuinely want to help you or they really don't and was only asking to as a rhetorical question. Funny thing is, a white lady nearby said, "Um...I need help." And I said, "Oh look someone needs your help!" Don't waste your money supporting this trashy business.

I have lived in Wilmington for about a year now and went into Lovey’s for the first time yesterday and absolutely loved it! The staff were helpful and very welcoming, the produce selection was fresh and in great condition, and the food bar was delicious! I will definitely be returning to do groceries here. Went through other reviews to see why Lovey’s only had a 3.7 rating and it’s due to staff not wearing masks. I believe it’s optional for staff? I saw some wearing a mask. Hopefully for those who left such a low review and find this to be a concern are vaxxed and/or masked themselves.
