We had a desire for Philly cheese steak and this is a favorite. A well established restaurant, older but tidy and can be busy.
The food is always great and quick the only thing I really had an issue with was employees talking junk about past employees. I get it sometimes people annoy us but to discuss it where patrons can here it isn't a good thing in my humble opinion.
Great place for lunch! Good little LOCAL deli with many options for subs. They have a kid menu as well. Pepsi products here and theh have plenty of seating. The price wasn't so bad either.
Jessica with the blonde hair was our server today and she was the sweetest person ever. It was so nice and we were lucky to have someone as kind as her to assist us. Thank you Jessica!!Also the food was great, I feel like the quality has been upgraded for sure. Loved it before and love it even more now. :)
Absolutely delicious food and the best ranch dressing I've ever had there's steak and cheese are almost as good as the ones in Philadelphia. The ranch is phenomenal especially if in the french fries
The food and service was outstanding and the portions were huge! Google did not steer me wrong with this restaurant. I can only echo the sentiments of others when they said that the philly cheese steak was outstanding. And can we talk about the staff? Super friendly with positive attitudes! I will sure to be back next time I'm in town.
I could have swore I already wrote a review last year. Not sure what happened to it.Long time mostly satisfied customer who won't be coming back to any more J. Michaels Philly Delis.I only ate there when craving a cheesesteak every few months. I remember a previous time I would get a small bone here or there and it wasn't a big deal things happen.But my last visit (like a year ago now) I almost cracked a tooth on a bone.....one of several bones. No joke I believe I found 3 different bones in one half of the cheesteak, all in different bites as well. And trust me by the time you've bitten down on 3 bones from 3 different bites, it pretty much ruins it, and I was paranoid for the remaining few bites.Like this was a pretty rare instance of an unenjoyable sandwich, and if the only time could perhaps be overlooked, but I believe the previous sandwich I had gotten before this time had a few bones in it as well, but this time gave me such bone PTSD I will not be risking it again.
A-freaking-mazing! Great service, good food, reasonable price. I highly recommend the loaded baked potato salad, I seriously have never had a better or even close to being as good potato salad. I could eat only that everyday and be super happy, delicious ?
We moved away from Wilmington years ago but we come back several times a year and this is the spot we always hit up! (This and Britt's Doughnuts, of course)The cheesesteaks are great, fries dipped in that yummy thin ranch and more! My ONLY issue with them is, I'm now celiac so I DO appreciate being able to get a cheesesteak salad but just know... it's basically watery iceberg. They definitely need to up their lettuce game, but it's not a deal breaker.
Very unfortunate that I was not offered compensation for this order. Ordered pastrami grinder and steak and cheese grinder. Very dry meat and no sauce or cheese. After speaking with the supervisor, it seems they are more order focused rather than service focused. Very unfortunate. Used to be my favorite spot for pastrami grinders. Not the same quality. Thank you
