Tried the dollar tacos with purchase of a beverage. Choice of ground beef, chicken, and veggie. Choice of included toppings: lettuce, pico, cheese, and/or jalapeños. Small selection of salsas. Assembled hastily so filling to tortilla ratio is inconsistent. Food was okay. Would go again if asked but probably wouldn't choose to return for the tacos myself.

A little of a wait to order, but the line moved quickly. Ordered the jerk burrito and steak fajita burrito. The steak fajita was definitely flavorful and all the ingredients were fresh. The jerk burrito was ok, not as much flavor to it. Enjoyed the outdoor seating.

The food was okay at best, better than chipotle maybe? But definitely won't be going back. I just didn't feel the food had much flavor, and the atmosphere was dull/uninviting.

This place must make bank. Its always busy around dollar taco hour. The new larger space redesign is really nice. Make sure to ask for islands sauce on whatever you get

Recently used Islands to cater our rehearsal dinner. It was awesome! Always enjoy the food when we go there as well.

These guys work with local farms to get food. My favorite Wilmington business supporting its own community and farmers. Could care less that the ground chicken smells like fish and the beer is flat. It's a $1 taco.

The food was good, but the service was completely unprofessional. My mother ordered nachos and then was told “chips don’t come with that” after I ordered the exact same thing and was given a bucket of chips. When my mother tried to clarify she was just told she’d have to buy more chips. What looks like it would be a friendly environment was quite the opposite. Beyond the service, we really enjoyed our food and the quality.

It might be cheap and cheerful for students but my burrito was cold and my beer was flat. I didn't even drink it. Ok if you want to spend a couple bucks and get a quick fix but I wouldn't expect alot from the food. Maybe I am just not used to flat beer yet since coming here from Scotland but it's wasn't very appealing.

Islands is always a great place to eat. Every location offers friendly customer service and a great selection of fresh foods. Their chips are always consistent and excellent along with their salsa selections and queso. Highly recommend this restaurant and will continue to return frequently.

pretty good, and has deals that are hard to beat. you can get an entire 4 taco plate with chips, salsa & a drink for $7. if you don't find that enticing, you're crazy. However, the quality is a little suspicious. rightfully so for the price, but nevertheless still suspicious.
