I went there to get food the place was nasty ? The guy was fixing tacos with old food the lettuce was brown and the meat was dry out fly was everywhere. I had to leave and go to another place. The service was poor the guy was sweating and it was going in the food. This place is nasty.

Disappointed. Our food has no flavor at all. We ordered off of doordash. When it got delivered to us there were none of the salsas we ordered in the bag. There was also no cheese on our food either. My meal was completely bland and so was my fiancé's meal. I ordered a burrito bowl and it was the worst! I only finished eating it because I was so hungry, but I didn't enjoy any of it...EVEN with my own salsa from home that I mixed into it. It was 80% lettuce, 15% rice, and 5% chicken. I cannot believe I paid $11 for this.

The 12 year old looking kid at the counter tried to charge me $6 for a medium side of chips and a side of SHREDDED cheese. Not even queso. SHREDDED CHEESE. The one in monkey junction charged me $1 for the cheese and it even said shredded cheese on the receipt. If he didn’t know how to ring it up he could have asked for help rather than overcharging a customer.
Islands is always delicious! The nachos are amazing. The food is really great value - especially the dollar taco deal.
I thought the food was good but the person serving was sniffing and wiping his nose with the backside of his hand. I tried to push that out of my mind but he also mixed the food with those same gloves hands...sigh...
Sharing for my friend who has been treated so rudely by the manager of their downtown location:I often enjoy eating affordable tacos at Island’s but tonight at this location this guy “Kenny” (manager) was so rude that I am not sure I am coming back to this location.I only asked him if he could give me a few more chips and he answered that if I wanted more that I needed to pay more. So, I mentioned that usually I get a little bit more, to which he answered “you are welcome to leave”. And then he said he was keeping the food until we all paid ( we were 6 in total and I ordered first). I respectfully asked him if he was the owner and he said the manager. I told him that his demeanor was not very nice. He repeated that I was welcome to leave. I told him , that customers pay for his salary, that he may want to be treating us nicely. We were skeptical at first, but their food is surprising super good! Thank you to the workers who were extra patient with my family while we were ordering. It was a little confusing for us, but we managed with their guidance. Thank you!
