Smelled rather dank (and not in the positive hoppy way). Fairly dark and did bring my mood down a bit. Didn't pass the vibe check, but the beers were cold and alright.
One of the most underrated places in Wilmington, Laren is the best behind the bar, helpful, knowledgeable, and most of all kind. The epitome of a good brewery experience, from someone who has drank beer all over the world this place shines as a true gem in Wilmington NC. Whether you have a taste for a seltzer, porter, lager, IPA, they have what you’re looking for. 10/10 customer engagement , this is a place where you will feel as though you live here. A must stop if you are in downtown Wilmington especially if you have the time to try new beers and engage in conversation
Probably one of the standout, all-around greatest experiences I've ever had at a brewery. And when I say experience I mean just that. Sometimes the difference between good and great is the little things. In this case it was the conversation and education we got from bartender/brewer/wizard Laren. Just an absolutely wonderful and knowledgeable person who took our experience above and beyond what we anticipated. Can't wait to go back :)

Nice Brewery with a good selection of good beer. They also have several different seltzers. The bartender was very friendly, knowledgeable about the beer and seltzers and was very helpful with food options and other breweries around the area. Definitely recommend stopping into this Brewery.
The honey lager is great! Iron clad is puppy friendly also!

Cool atmosphere with a big projection screen. Only a few beers on tap, mostly seltzers, and one of the few places we left without finishing our drinks.
We have been to Ironclad several times and have always had a good experience. The beers are decent and they also have a good seltzer selection. The bartenders are great! They are all very attentive, polite and helpful.We decided to have our wedding here as it is a beautiful venue. Rachel was awesome with helping us get all the details worked out. The day of the wedding, their staff were amazing. All of our guests commented on how nice the venue was and how polite and helpful all of the bartenders were.If you are looking for a great venue or just to stop by and have a relaxing drink, this place is awesome!
