This is my third time eating here and I loved it just as much as I did the first time! The flight was 5 beers for $12. The slapwich was delicious! I got the fish and chips and the pull pork sandwich the last time I visited. Great service and friendly! If you're looking just to have a beer and chill, go upstairs to the tap room!
I've been here many times over the years and have always enjoyed, but on my first visit since they reopened I was disappointed. The beer was good, the appetizers were good, the entree was very average (for $15.99). I'll be back for drinks and snacks but if you're looking for a good meal, there are way better places in Wilmington. Oh - and the plate I was given was dirty. That's always a huge turnoff.
Sat at the bar and had some really good nachos. The down side was a guy with his two kids that sat beside us. Not that the kids were bad, they weren’t. I’m just not a fan of children sitting at the bar. I thought you had to be 21 to sit at the bar, guess not.
Brandi is very friendly and responsive....I will come again
On a day trip visit to Wilmington from Pawleys Island, we ended our day here. I can highly recommend the Shrimp and Grits. The grits are a fried cake and the Cajun style sauce is fabulous.
Great food and very friendly staff
We had a mini family gathering here and it was so nice. My wife had a HUGE salad and tea and I had Black and Bleu burger with small side salad. The food was excellent and the IPA I had was awesome as well. The atmosphere and ambience was special with the old woodwork and ornate brass. We'll be back if in the area. really enjoyed family time here!
Did not go in with any expectations, came out a big fan! Excellent food and service. Definitely will come back!
We used to like this restaurant, the food was tasty, the portions generous & the beer selection & price was good. NO MORE. I brought a new friend on Friday for the 1st. time since it re-opened and I was embarrassed after talking up the place. I ordered the Pulled-Pork plate with Marinated Cucumber salad and Fruit as sides. The Cuke salad came in a small bowl filled with liquid where I had to fish for the few pieces of cukes & tomatoes. If there was no liquid, it was at best 2 Ozs. of cukes & toms, while the fruit was fine. The pulled pork was dry & tasteless with no BBQ sauce in a maybe 6 ozs serving. The beer was the biggest disappointment for a Brewery, in the past beer was served in 10 oz. glasses, now it came in a small wine glass, maybe a 5 oz glass – ridiculous for beer. There also used to be a Daily Beer special at lunch – no more, as well as page of history, not this time. Service was lame, server never asked if things were OK. Restaurant claims 100% satisfaction – how & where do they intend to deliver on that claim? Based on this visit & all these disappointments, I am unlikely to be back again.
We never even got drinks. After 30 minutes went and got a beer from bar and sat back down at my table. Drank the whole beer and still no waitress to even get drinks. This was probably the worst service and we won't make the mistake again to coming out and parking downtown to not even get asked what we wanted to drink. never even got to order food or anything.. This place is a joke!
