It's okay. These are not New York bagels. One egg one slice of cheese two slices of bacon on a breakfast sandwich and the bagel itself is like a grocery store bagel. For a bagel joint? This is not better than Round, Beach Bagel, or Seaside. Although they are made fresh, they are on the dough/cakey side of bagels. Just a long shot from a true Strathmore Bagel on Long Island.
Thank you for bringing the tri-state area south. Best bagels by far, hands down, no questions ask (by NJ standards). Fantastic assortment, get a schmear or a sandwich you will not be disappointed.
Empire bagels has not only exceptional food but even better staff members. Everyone was very friendly and the food was fantastic!
Great food, great service. I get carryout regularly here and the order is always done quickly, and food is consistently savory. Best Reuben sandwich in town.
They used to be a go to and now they’re a run from. Went in today to get two bagels it took 35 minutes and they got the order wrong. When I asked for them to correct it I was told by the girl behind the counter to “calm down”.
This place is the bomb. It has everything a bagel shop needs. Great bakers and staff. Most of all, they are striving to make it in this messed-up labor / and supply world. We should all thank all these great people who have to work so hard in a business. They have the best bagels in North Carolina. The only one who comes close is Big Steve's in McGee Crossroads. But not that close. Great job, guys, and see you soon.
Great selection of fresh baked bagels and muffins! Plain or fix up your favorite breakfast or lunch sandwich. Staff is friendly and courteous; bagels are delicious!! Don't forget the cream cheese!
Just found this place! The jalapeno bagel with jalapeno cream cheese!! Can't wait to stop there again and try another selection! All kids of bagels
This used to be my wife and I’s favorite bagel shop. Since the new owner took over there has been incredible staff turn over, what seems like zero training. It takes forever to get a bagel completed and the quality of the food has drastically gone down. The so called “remodel” makes the place feel stark and not a place you want to be. I would recommend any other bagel place in Wilmington other than this one. Got to love it when you ask for a lox bagel with capers (none to be found) tomatoes, and onions. Kind of sad the amount of tomatoes and onions. Also didn’t realize the new standard was 1 slice of turkey on a bagel.
This was the best food. Wasn't sure at first about the place, cause never heard of it, but we were working out that way and wanted Subway, but they were to packed. But I think it was a blessing ? indeed. Because we ended up at Empire. We couldn't believe how wonderful the food was..It's making my mouth water now, just thinking of that sandwich, it was the bomb!!
