Stayed here for a short birthday trip and it did not disappoint! The location is perfect, not noisy, and has beautiful waterfront views. The room was clean and spacious. The bed had clean linens and was super comfortable. Very convenient rooftop bar with beautiful views especially at sunset along with delicious food. The staff was very helpful and courteous. Will be back.
Our first trip to Wilmington. We usually stay in Embassy Suites. The front desk check in was very smooth. They were very knowledgeable & helpful. Our room was nice and clean. When we needed extra towels etc they were right on it. The social hour was nice however this is the first Embassy we have stayed in that limits you to two drinks and we have stayed in many all over the US. The bartenders were excellent, very friendly. We stayed 4 nights and had the same snacks each evening. Not sure what that was about but we enjoyed meeting new people. We definitely enjoyed the river walk! I thought there would be more restaurants & bars? Maybe some have closed because of shortage of workers? I would definitely recommend this hotel
We chose this hotel for an overnight trip with my daughter and niece. It was such a great choice! The view from the room was so beautiful! Everything was clean and comfortable, and Dawn did an amazing job at checkin in making us feel welcome and sharing her knowledge of the area. I would definitely recommend and stay again if we come back to the area.
Oh how I wanted to give this hotel 5 stars. But I just can’t. The location was awesome. I loved the view, ease of getting there, and the front desk and banquets event porter were super friendly. Everything was as expected (and more). Until I got to my room. There was hair all over the bathroom sink, bathroom floor, probably the carpet since I cleaned up the hair once and then when I came back to the bathroom there were more strands of hair on the floor again. The lamps were so dusty that I didn’t even use them. The floors weren’t mopped and the kitchenette wasn’t clean. The outward appearance was beautiful but once you looked closer, it was apparent that cleanliness was not their first priority as they described. I’m conflicted as I would like to come back but I just don’t know. I originally gave 3 stars but decided to give 4 stars.
Front desk changed my room AFTER I'd checked in without notifying me. On-site restaurant (Steam) accidentally overcharged (although only ~$1), but then wanted a bunch of paperwork filled out for credit. Request for a 30-minute late checkout was denied (really ?!?!). I am Hilton Gold, so I can't imagine how the staff treats regular customers.
My friends & I were dining out @Cloud 9. Although James Sealey was very busy, he made it a priority to acknowledge us. After dining out, James was courteous and outgoing. He had our vehicle out front in no time.
Looks can be very deceiving. Upon arrival the hotel is gorgeous on the outside. Going inside the decor is nice as well. Mind you I’ve worked in an upscale hotel before so therefore I know what to look for. The set up and layout is nice pool area nice. The suite that I received unacceptable. The tub has strands of hair in it and a brown ring. Strands of hair was also on the bathroom floor. The carpet is very dirty. Also one of the bed sheets dirty with hair when I pulled them. Lamps and shelves dusty. Table has ink marks. And the pull out sofa extremely dirty. Bottom line I will not be back. When you pay for luxury and an upscale experience that’s what you should get.
This Embassy Suites sis not disappoint! They location is amazing and the building is clearly newer. The river front view was amazing and there was absolutely no noise issues. The rooms are spacious and the shower was amazing. The linens were clean and the bed was fluffy as ever. Abby and Macy were great front desk agents and made my experience wonderful. I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you come to Wilmington.
Although the staff working there was very nice and doing their best, amenities such as housekeeping are not what they used to be pre-Covid. I’m sure that staffing is an issue, as it it in many service industries. The tip jars everywhere sent a message that employees aren’t being paid adequately and severe cutback in housekeeping services should be noted up front. You are responsible for cleaning your own room during your stay. They will make your bed, empty the trash or hand you some more coffee packets… but only on request in the morning before 10am. Cleaning is only offered every 5th day. Our floors were so dirty that our feet turned brown. We don’t fault the current staff. It’s clearly a hotel policy that is in the fine print on a decal in the bathroom. We will think twice before paying such a high rate for good location only but no real amenities.
They valet service was great. Both of the valets were super nice and kind. Amazing service and very helpful! Very timely as well. We didn’t wait long for our car at all. The hotel was great as well. Good food and nice rooms.
