We’ve been eating at El Cerro Grande for 20+ years, dating back to when it was located on Oleander near Independence Mall. Our favorite location is the one at University Commons. The food there is always consistently good as is the service. Daniel especially provides exceptional service. He is polite, friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!
Erica is absolutely amazing! This place has superb customer service. I accidently left my sunglasses while eating there the evening of 6/20/22.I searched the house up and down and couldn't find them. I called the next day and Erica personally sent me photos of sunglasses that had be turned in, but unfortunately none of them were mine. She still continued to look for them.Hours later when her shift was about to end, she was able to search the booth where I had previously sat, and unbelievably the glasses where found on the floor! These shades are irreplaceable as they were my father's who has since passed away. So Erica, thank you from the bottom of my heart!
The staff is always friendly and they were especially understanding on our last visit when we asked to move tables to make room for 2 high chairs. The chips are warm, my favorite, and the salsa is good. Ask for the hot salsa though, the red salsa is pretty mild.
This is the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been at, service was terrible and waitress never gave us what we asked for.No Suace, no tortillas, silverware was plastic and food was horrible. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE AND WAIST YOUR MONEY! NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!
I’ve been here twice now. The first time it was incredible! Everything was great. However, I went back this week with my girlfriend for a date night and everything was ICE COLD. Rice, beans, and even my Carne was cold…my girlfriends meal as well. This was really upsetting because I really enjoyed the first time I came down :(We had a movie that was starting in 10 minutes so I had no time to complain, but we didn’t even finish our meals…
The food, drinks and service is great! You can smell the delicious food outside in the parking lot.
I’m currently waiting on my to go order lol 4th time ordering. I’m trying something different every week. Today it’s Fajitas Texican
We used to eat at the one on Carolina Beach Road and loved it, so when we moved we tried this one out today. Waited a few to be seated, even though it wasn't that busy. Once seated, we got our drinks and chips/salsa right away. The chips were warm and the salsa was just spicy enough. Our dishes were brought quickly. I had the burrito Pardo and it was delicious! Portions are huge and enough for me to have leftovers later. Will definitely be back!
One of our favorites in wilmy! There’s usually no wait even when they are busy, staff is so friendly, and the menu is huge. I used to get quesadillas or fajitas but tried the chicken and rice with cheese sauce and I can’t go back. It’s sooo good! We start with queso and chips because yum. My bf drinks horchata which is really tasty. His dish was on a specials menu and let me tell you the creamy habanero sauce is so good I got extra for mine. It has a kick so if spicy isn’t for you steer clear. It was a seafood mix on rice topped with the sauce. Portions are huge and prices are reasonable.
Fast seat time and always have parking availability as it's in a strip mall corner.Quick seating time once arrived. The food is always great here and that staff are very nice!Always start with the Horchata and make our way to the nachos with queso, which are fantastic.I am a huge fan of their Enchiladas personally but tried the special this time, which was great! I loved the hebanero sauce they had !
