Drift Coffee has a cute & simplistic interior, and friendly staff who provide quick service. Their holistic beverages are delicious and unique, and the expresso tonic is simply wonderful! Overall, it's really good coffee but can be somewhat pricey.
Cool coffee shop and smells absolutely amazing walking in.Gave them 4 stars because iced coffee drinks are more expensive than their hot counterparts??? I’ve had 2 weeks to mull this over in the shower and it just bothers my smooth brain so I figured I would write a review. Maybe pointing it out to other people so one day I pass by and mention it in small talk and have this explained why 5 pieces of frozen water are each worth a dime.
Absolute underwhelming wave if mediocrity. The mushroom tattoo's register clerk has the charming personality of a damp sock. The lack Lustre coffee reaches heights equivalent to that of folgers home brew. It's honestly discouraging to see the ethos that destroyed Seattle reach the backwoods small towns of NC. As NC adopts and embraces the atmosphere cultivated within this coffee shop the residents of NC will increasingly experience higher costs for sub adequate products as well as inept & vapid service. All in all this venue is the antithesis of a valued coffee shop. Nothing but corporate trash masquerading as a Instagram white woman tasteless trend.
Let me preface this and say if your from up north (dunks) or you like port city java this place NOT for you.Me and the wife tried this place on a sunday before a Matinee at the movie theater. My wife got the breakfast burrito and a small cappuccino, and I ordered the Ham and egg on rye and a regular iced coffee with 2% and I wanted granular sugar. It was $27+a couple bucks for a tip (outrageous). My wifes drink came in a borderline dixie cup it was so small. Her burrito wasnt bad. What I got was a sad excuse for an iced coffee, it barely had an milk and all they had was sugar in the raw. The ham and egg was really bad. Im pretty sure the worst ive ever had. The rye bread was this thin wafer looking thing and the egg just didnt taste right. Stick to Dunks boys.
Lovely light-filled spot to chill. Employees are friendly and bright. :) The woman who took my order struck up a conversation and seemed genuinely interested. Flash cold brew with a bit of simple syrup was delicious. Decor is thoughtful and comfy. Eggs Benedict was superb!
Coffee and homemade syrups are fantastic! Cold brew and iced latte tasted fresh and of high quality. Atmosphere is fun and chill. Staff was very kind and Devin made our drinks quickly! Would highly recommend Drift for great coffee!
The food was great. Our Barista Devin was very kind and told me about the cold brew and had me sample it. It was really good... But Starbucks' is better ?.
Visiting from CT. I ordered the golden latte with the bodega breakfast sandwich. It was the best egg sandwich I’ve ever had! The bread was soft, the dubliner cheese was melted perfectly! I would go again for sure.

So glad my niece chose Drift as our lunch spot. Reasonable prices and terrific salads. Casual atmosphere with friendly service. I asked what the poplar salad was and it did not disappoint. LOVED the salad dressing. Would definitely go back. I’m from out of town and it’s so wonderful to see and experience some great restaurants with healthy choice options. Highly recommend Drift.
