The jade and pearl is a delicious combination (asparagus and scallops) that I never would have thought of.

It is a quaint, friendly place. Kind of a bit pricey but generous portions. The chicken pan fried dumplings and sauces were spot on. Also double fried noodles were good, a tad salty. The main reason we went was they have scallion pancakes on the menu. Great flavor, a little oily, awesome dipping. Sauce VERY SMALL portion. I think the menu said 2, there were 8 1/8 slices (equals one) so should have been a bit more. Clean very friendly staff. Probably won't be back as more place to see and try in Wilmington.

I love chinese food and I always always always get the General Tso chicken meals because it's my favorite. Today I got the General Tso and an order of spring rolls. Spring rolls were excellent! As for the General Tso, it was decent in terms of quality of meat and white rice but the recipe was terrible. They had big orange slices in the chicken and had too much red pepper flakes that threw off any sweetness. The whole thing was unbearable and was only able to get through half of the meal. $23 for that meal. Unfortunately this is one place I'll never return to for the general tso.

We had Shrimp dumplings with chivesSichuan Spicey Eggplant w/ ground pork and Lo Mein combo. The Eggplant was the best of the three. Staff was pleasant.

Ate lunch here with my daughter--first time for us. The wait to place our drink order felt long, but we were also crunched for time. We informed our server Roberta of this, and she guided us towards menu selections that would take less time to prepare. The food was delicious and fresh, and the jasmine tea was perfect for a wet afternoon. We'll definitely go back, next time with more time to savor our food and the lovely atmosphere.

The food was too mild. I wanted an authentic taste, but it's ok on occasion. Beef/broccoli -- beef was tough, the rice was short grain and not as fluffy for my tastes. Service was good.

Great service, food is goid, ample portions. Prices are pretty good.

This place is good. I went with my mother, sister and grandmother. I got the orange chicken. However when we got our soup my grandmother's soup tasted like dish soap. She got a replacement though.

Fantastic. The authentic flavors shine. Double Happiness reminds me of the classy Chinese place in Fort Lauderdale my grandmother used to take me to in the 1970's. I love it! Also it is not too expensive.

We just had dinner at Double Happiness Chinese Restaurant on Wrightsville in Wilmington. My wife had the firecracker chicken; I had the Dry-Wok chicken. We both chose the medium spicy sauce. Both meals were EXCELLENT! The chicken tasted so fresh! The vegetables were crisp! You could tell none of it came from a pan sitting in a steam table. Will return every chance we get! Fyi-our daughter loved the sesame chicken; her husband was more adventurous and went for the Shacha, Shacha shrimp. Much spicier but he really enjoyedit! The young granddaughters split the tangerine chicken and really liked it. Highly recommend the Double Happiness! Skip those restaurant chains offering “ Asian” cuisine. This is the real deal!
