Great food and great vibes ?
Unexpectedly yummy sandwiches that are definitely filling enough to make a meal. Pro tip: get the beef one even if you don't normally like beef sandwiches. Decent cocktails. Sweet 90s TV and trivia to keep you entertained while you wait for your food.
Great sandwiches and cocktails! Enjoyed it and would definitely come again!
It’s always difficult to find a place to eat out with an extremely picky eater…and she’s a TEENAGER at that!! But this place is a definite winner!! Her quote regarding the Little Rascals sandwich: “This is so good! This is the reason the universe was created!” (I know, she’s a bit dramatic, but still…) We will ABSOLUTELY be returning!!!
Great atmosphere and wonderful food.
Sandwiches we had were delicious the young Girl tending bar was polite and attentive.
Overall really solid food. Tater tots were maybe the best I've ever had. Definitely on the heavier side but kinda should expect that from a place that specializes in grilled cheese. Kids meals were a great deal. Mac and cheese was obscenely cheesy and kinda funky but my kids loved it. I got the juri over greens and it was really good.
Friendly staff and good environment. The vegan options were delicious and they had something for everyone.
TL;DR: I gave this restaurant a good try and a lot of chances, but quality has continued to plummet, and I won't be back.Seeing the good reviews (I am perplexed by how there can be so many), I came here for the first time in July. It was pretty good, good enough to get me excited to come back and try some more things. I've been back about 5 times trying out different items, and it has just gotten worse every time.First strike was the time I ordered the tomato soup and it tasted like the water that someone had used to wash out an old ash-tray. I took a few spoonfuls and informed the waitress that there must be something wrong, that the soup was completely flavorless except for the burnt, ashy taste. I was told, "It's vegan," and was not comped. I have had plenty of vegan tomato soups that didn't taste like half-smoked cigar steeped in watered-down V8 juice.Second strike was a combination of things that I noticed over the course of a few visits: the cheese in the mediocre mac and cheese (on one occasion ok, on another occasion completely disgusting) is nothing more than melted white Velveeta. The tater-tots are frozen, store-bought, and popped in the oven. The place consistently smells like a toilet.Third strike was today's visit. My wife got her usual: the ghostface fillah, which has been delicious every time we went. It was absolutely flavorless today. I got the west philadelphia salad, and it tasted like soggy, hot garbage. Imagine, if you will: arugula; caramelized onions without a hint of the natural sweetness they should have, or any kind of seasoning; unseasoned shaved ribeye; avocado, cream cheese, and ranch. A soft, gooey, flavorless mess fit for the composter. And that meal will run you $30.I can eat food that is cheaper and incomparably better right down the street at Savorez. I gave this restaurant a good, honest try, and I won't be back.
not going to lie probably the best sandwich I've had in awhile. I had the el jeffe
