Really quite good fried chicken. Has the classic standup chicken counter vibe.Fried to order. Light batter with a good taste. Stayed juicy and crisp.I look forward to trying it again.

The place is owned by the wonderful Tracy who makes the best fried chicken I have had in years! Each order is cooked to order and that equates to fresh, piping hot chicken! No steam table here. While you're waiting, chat it up with Ms. Juanita who is the mother of the chef. Ms Juanita is a wealth of information about the African American community of Wilmington.There's specials and I had the 2 piece chicken with one side (coleslaw was my choice) a roll and a sweet tea. The food arrived piping hot and did not disappoint! A friend raved about the mac and cheese. The portions are more than enough. Check them out! It's worth the trip!

3 Stars because the food we got was good. Ordered them through Door Dash. Ordered 4 dinners, what we got was one and three quarters a dinner (only one side, when I shouts have gotten 2). I spoke to the dasher who said he walked in and was told everything was in the bag. I get missing one thing, but how to do you miss more than half an order. So after waiting over an hour for food, I had to reorder somewhere else and wait again.
I ordered through door dash, first time trying this place. I got 3 chicken tenders with rice and gravy and a roll and ordered an additional side of Mac n chz. Don’t judge, I was hungry! The tenders were good and I really loved the texture of the breading. They give hot sauce for dipping, which I liked. I am a huge fan of rice and gravy, prob one of my favorite foods. I don’t recommend theirs as it was just flavorless brown juice on uncle ben’s rice. I added a lot of salt and ate it bc I love rice. I got a roll not a biscuit. Some reviews say they get a biscuit and that’s what the menu says but the roll was fine. The Mac n chz was weird. Like the noodles were baked with scrambled eggs and the chz had melted over it. It was crumbly but I ate it anyway bc I was hungry.I’ll probably try it again, picking it up myself from the restaurant. I’ll try a family meal and see what they think of it.

I ordered the Ultima chicken sandwich, okra and mac and cheese. OMG SO DELICIOUS!!!! Everything was cooked to order, the chicken is juicy, bun fresh and her aoli is tasty. The mac and cheese is FIRE ?. The restaurant is clean and the ladies very friendly! I'll be back, I'll be telling my friends and I wish these business owners great success!!!! WICKED GOOD CHICKEN ?
