A friend and I went yesterday- I was disappointed the buffet was gone. HOWEVER, the food was still great- service was even better. I’ll always have a soft spot for southern restaurants- this is one of them. I mentioned to the cashier about the buffet and she replied saying “with the cost of food the way it is, and sometimes what we try to order we can’t get in. It was hard to keep the buffet open. And although it was all you can eat people seemed to take that for granted, throwing away tons of food.” This broke me heart. Restaurants are struggling, food prices are through the roof- and that’s of the food they can get. Be kind to your server, be kind to the cashier, manager and back of the house staff. They are still people. And to the reviews complaining about the price of a plate, have you been grocery shopping lately? $13 for a chicken plate is not bad at all. It’s tasty, convenient for not having to cook it yourself and worth it!

The last time we had fried chicken was about a year ago. It's been that long simply because we try not to eat fried food often. Today I felt a craving for fried chicken so we decided to go to Carolina BBQ and Seafood on South College Rd in Wilmington NC. We ordered eight pieces to take home for dinner. They were AWESOME! Seasoned perfectly, very moist and NOT salty. The chicken is cooked to order. Of course, they weren't piping hot and crispy by the time we ate them for dinner but still absolutely delicious.

Horrible experience I seen this place on tv and wanted try it out. Waited in parking lot for 20 mins because it wasn't open yet. When I went in no buffet I was disappointed then went to bathroom not clean still decided to give it try. The menu was small not much choose from as we was ordering I see guy preparing food he putting food in his mouth. Go back cutting then still putting food in his mouth. Then lady bring out some burnt hush puppies. So I call her over and say what that man cutting back there cause he is eating it with same gloves. I told her I cant eat here and walk out my mom and husband just looking at me.

Good food good prices unfortunately no buffet anymore...but don't let that stop you from stopping in an having a good home cooked meal from the best fried chicken, BBQ an seafood...shrimp and scallops are my favorite.

Food was good but out of alot items on the menu pretty sure it wasn't they're fault

I went 2 years ago and the food was not great. We decided to give it one more try but I wish we had just kept driving to caseys or moes!! We ordered barbecue but were told they were out(this was at 630 pm on a SATURDAY evening at a BARBECUE restaurant) so we ordered the daily special which was country style steak....when it came to the table it was a thin fried "steak" that obviously came out of a box(frozen). I ordered yams which were so burnt I couldn't eat them(the worst I've probably ever had). The hushpuppies were decent to me but my husband didn't like them at all. The lemon in the tea came out of a packet...not even a real lemon?. They no longer have buffet which is fine because the food is just bad. The staff is friendly but the food is horrible, portion size is very small and definitely not worth the $35.00 we just spent there...I will not be going back!

Order from Carolina BBQ for dinner tonight. We ordered their family meal (8 pieces of fried chicken, pork BBQ, Cole slaw, hush puppies) and I made Mac and cheese. The best fried chicken I have had I'm a very long time. I do not eat most places fried chicken because it is just to greasy for me. $22.99. I fed my crew of 5 (and that is feeding 4 adults and one teen age boy) for that plus the cost of the Mac and cheese. This place is so worth it!

Food was good oldies music great. Friendly fast service attention to detail (like empty glasses) Even asked if I'd like a glass of tea to go! And we all know how important my to go cup is to me. Highly recommend... No Buffet!

The seafood was fresh, chicken and hush puppies were good. Bbq, sides and sweet tea weren't what we expected. Portion sizes were ok for the $13 a plate price tag but they were 'out' of quite a bit of items. Don't really understand the 25-30 minute wait for the quality....

They hosted a car club meeting. The service was great. However, the fried flounder was over done. The fish was dried out.
