Absolutely amazing food! Definitely one of the best restaurants in Wilmington. I love that they have incredible vegan/vegetarian options.
The best tacos I HAVE EVER HAD. Today was my first time trying this place and I got the mushroom taco and the fish taco and man oh man they did not disappoint! They may seem small but they are very filling and that comeback sauce is perfection!!
I was blown away by Block Taco! I recently moved from Austin, TX and have been missing GOOD tacos. Their tacos were amazing and we're the best tacos I've had since leaving Texas. I also love that they are connected to a really cute bar (with great prices!). You can easily grab a cold drink right next door while you enjoy your tacos. They have a connected seating area outside and inside for convenience.
The good: Best NorMex (we should call it that) I've had in NC. North Carolina (Wilmington in particular) is lacking in good Mexican food but I enjoy Block Taco immensely.The bad: The horchata is not good.**Note: Beer is from Satellite, the attached bar
One of the locals recommended this place when I needed a late-night vegan/vegetarian spot. Went specifically for the chips & guac (which, sadly they had sold out of). I did order a mushroom taco, brussel sprout taco, chips & salsa, and a limeade. Tacos and drink were pretty good. The chips were yummy, but the salsa wasn't my jam. It was more of a pico. Delicious because it was super fresh, but not a spicy or super flavorful salsa like I would have wanted. Well, definitely not the guac.You order at the window and pick up your food from the same spot. A handful of outdoor seating is available surrounding them. Also, apparently the bar next door is fairly popular as well (?)
Way too spicy, it was unenjoyable. I didn’t even order anything spicy but all 3 of my tacos had this sauce that was terribly spicy for me and my boyfriend and he loves spicy food.
Best street taco ever. The mahi mahi fish tacos are delicious and I would order them every time.
Stopped in for lunch over the weekend. Best tacos we’ve had in NC - thoughtfully crafted, super flavorful, and good gluten free options. Staff was really friendly and it’s in a cool area. We enjoyed checking out the 2nd Sunday market. Will definitely be back.
Good tacos, fresh ingredients. Nachos are amazing. Price is a bit high for quantity but quality is great.
Such a great experience! I love the staff, especially Jamila! She’s very nice and always has a smile on her face! The food was phenomenal, the compact space was nice! I felt like there was such an emphasis on the quality of food! I’m a visitor in town and I think you should evaluate at the end of 2022 and consider charlotte as another opening spot because these tacos are THAT good! You made my Wilmington experience top tier and unforgettable!
