I fell in love with Bakery 105 from the minute I walked inside! The venue is absolutely STUNNING, and it's everything I wanted and more for my wedding day!! Another bonus- we were just a two minute walk from the river! We had our ceremony inside and were able to comfortably fit 80 guests. The dance floor also had plenty of room for dancing! The courtyard is beautiful as well, and it was the perfect atmosphere for our guests during cocktail hour while they flipped the room inside for dinner! Not to mention, they offer catering (128 South Catering) which we happily used for our big day, and the food was DELICIOUS! I also used "The Cottage" right across the street from the venue for our bridal suite, and my bridesmaids and I loved it!! Amazing service and wonderful people to work with!! Thank you for making our day perfect (and easy on our end)- we couldn't be happier! :) P.S. Jordan was an absolute blessing to work with- she was always so nice and helpful and on top of everything!! :)
We had our wedding ceremony and reception here on 6/2/22! It’s a GORGEOUS venue and a wonderful location!! We were able to walk to our rehearsal dinner and then walk to our honeymoon Airbnb after the wedding. Plus photos on the waterfront! I definitely recommend renting the bridal cottage as that was a major blessing, especially as the bride, just to have somewhere nearby to hide but also to monitor the setup progress. All our expectations were met and it was a good experience overall! Communication was a little slow in the time leading up to our date, it usually took them a week or two to respond to emails, but they were always very thorough and detailed. One frustrating thing was the restrictions on lighting- you are required to hire a professional with liability insurance to hang any sort of lighting, even Edison or Christmas lights, so keep that in mind, as it does get expensive (especially considering the late night pickup fee!!). We also were not informed that another group would be doing their wedding rehearsal in the middle of our setup time, which was fine, but we should have been informed. And the city was doing sidewalk construction right outside the venue on our day, which we also did not know about! It worked out, as the construction workers were awesome about working around us and limiting noise during the ceremony. Needless to say, it was an interesting day but overall Bakery 105 was a good choice! It was a beautiful venue for our wedding and the people were great in helping us tour the venue and answering all of our MANY questions in the months leading up to the wedding. We recommend!
On April 21st, 2022 my little sister had her reception here. From the moment they picked this venue thru the very end of the reception, Katie has been an absolute pleasure and dream to work with. not only is she professional but FUN. My mother, sister and Brian had answers to any questions within 24 hours. She was able to pull off a cigar bar within a month notice. In February of 2021 my mother, sister and brother in law had a meeting with her and within that meeting the timeline for the day was complete. She was able to keep my sister calm which at times was a little bit of a challenge (a GOOD challenge because of my sister excitement). She truly is a huge part in making the especially wedding day and planning process such a joyous and flawless time. She is an absolute joy and so kind. Her team for the reception were great, friendly and didn't miss a thing. Thank you especially Katie and your team for being a huge reason for the happiness and a glowing bride, groom, sister and mother in law! I think the four of us can honestly say we really will miss you as the wedding planning and day has come to a close.
The BEST place in Wilmington to host a wedding or event! My husband and I had our wedding here on 1/22/22 and EVERYTHING was far beyond our expectations. The venue itself is such a beautiful historic building. The office staff and the day of catering staff provide top notch service! The food was outstanding - our guests are still talking about how delicious it was!! To the amazing team at Bakery 105 - THANK YOU for making our wedding day the best day ever! To everyone else reading this review stop searching and book this venue ASAP - there is no other venue in Wilmington that even comes close to Bakery 105 (other than their sister venue 128 South)!

As soon as I walked into Bakery 105 for my initial tour I knew I wanted to have my October 2021 reception there. JJ did a great job of showing photos of how the space could be used/organized/decorated, knew the answers to all of my questions regarding design limitations, chairs/tables, dancefloor, etc. Once I booked the venue, I began working with Katie, who is just the nicest and most professional human ever. She was so quick to respond to all of my questions, suggestions, concerns, and unnecessary stress-outs. She was also my day-of coordinator (I did not hire a wedding planner), and made the entire cocktail hour and reception run so smoothly. The food was incredible, the bartenders and servers were all so professional, kind, and prompt, and the whole thing is truly a well-oiled machine that is SO customizable to exactly what you envision.HIGHLY RECOMMEND KATIE AND HER BAKERY 105 TEAM.
I fell in love with this venue the moment I saw it. We found their package offerings to be fair -- and of better quality for cost than the competition -- and loved what all was included. More than anything, however, I have to commend their owners, staff and management for their handling of weddings throughout this pandemic. We postponed twice and they were among the kindest and most understanding vendors we worked with. The level of understanding and support we received -- even in mid 2020 when some thought event venue businesses would go under -- was incredible. They worked with us with incredible flexibility during the most challenging times and I just think that says so much about the people running the venue.
