Absolutely delicious. I gained 10 lbs just by walking in and breathing in the scent of baked goods. Not pictured : almond choc chip shortbread cookie (divine!) & the box of assorted butter cookies we bought for the staff at my uncle's nursing home.
They have very good french roast coffee. The best patries and bread.
Yummm!! So many delicious pastries, breads, and misc dessert items to choose from! The eclair was outstanding. Pricing is fair for a bakery, but it is definitely more expensive than a grocery store or something, so know that up front (what we had was well worth the cost though). Staff were very helpful. Looking forward to returning and trying many more items in the future!
I’ve been visiting Apple Annie’s for 30+ years. As another reviewer mentioned, the taste has definitely changed. The buttercream used to be delicious. Now they have made it horrible. They say the recipe hasn’t changed and maybe not…but definitely the ingredients. The overwhelming fake butter flavor is not at all appetizing. I don’t know what you changed…but please change it back. If someone is going to pay $50+ for a cake, it shouldn’t taste like fake butter flavoring.
I applaud this bake shop for the plentiful selection of baked goods. Since I am gluten free, I can only speak for the two items that I tried. Which was a red velvet cupcake and gluten free vegan vanilla cake. Both of those items were below average. Peppered cupcakes is a local bake shop that offers gluten free cupcakes that do not settle for an average flavor profile and texture. I will most likely not come here again.
I have been an Apple Annies fan for 20 plus years but their cakes don't taste the same. I ordered a cake and after complaining they gave me another cake no charge. The icing is like Crisco Solid and leaves a film in your mouth. When you try to wash the dish you need Hot Water and soap. Not sure what happened maybe a new recipe? At least the cookies still taste good.
Very pleased with the prices for a high quality product. I lucked out on a 50 percent off and bought a German Chocolate Cake for $11.
So many delicious options, so hard to choose! I got the pumpkin dark chocolate chip Scone and omg it was the best I've ever had! Slightly crisp on the outside but soft on the inside without being dry. I can't wait to go back and try more treats!
They did it again! Last year I came in and bought 2 or 3 cheesecakes for a party. It took everything in me not to go back and get one for only myself to eat alone at home. I couldn’t wait to host another party! This time I called ahead to order a custom Dutch apple pie and marble cheesecake! Everyone, including myself, didn’t know which was our favorite. I’m obsessed with this place. Thank you for making the process so easy and making all the yummy things!
Apple Annies’s cakes are amazing. I get one every year for my granddaughter birthday!! and take to Charlotte the ladies that work up front are very nice and informative. Thank you all for the wonderful job you do. Hats off to the barker.
