Had the Italian Combo wedge today with their home-made Italian dressing sprinkled over it, it was amazing. Can’t wait to try more of their menu items!

Delicious meatballs, large, meaty and mild with the right amount of breadcrumbs…tastes like nonna’s at the St Rocco’s Feast on Glen Cove, Long Island. We ordered 6 with the pint of classic marinara sauce so we can have leftovers. I haven’t been here since 2018 and it looks like the store has a lot more selections, take-home groceries like frozen lobster ravioli, and upgraded staff. I can’t wait to order the subs and the eggplant parm next time, now that we are yet another group of New Yorkers living here. As I searched the house for some limoncello aperitif, there was only 1/2 a tiramisu left when I opened my fridge! hubby said it was delicious, light mascarpone, and yummy. For a small Italian sub shop and deli in bland Wilmington, NC, this place is very, very, welcoming. We will be back and the New York relatives visiting in July will be joining me.

didn't want to be the arrogant New Yorker coming in....but..... I realize this is not Italy, or NYC or Brooklyn and I appreciate the Italian effort....and this really is the only spot that has a crumb of Italian flavor in the area. But cardinal sins are all over the spot. This can't be real Italians owning it. No semolina bread off the top. Ok I get it, it's not NY. No speck (smoked prosciutto), no problem, it's a lesser known item. But the staple of any Italian deli should be the fresh mozzarella!!! It should be warm! There should be a big tray atop of the counter at room temperature if not warm! When you take it out of the plastic wrap, a milky liquid should spill all over. It should have a hint of saltiness. It should melt in your mouth. They gave me an almost frozen ball of I guess, cheese? I waited an hour hoping it would come to life at room temperature. No chance. It was basically Polly O, a cheap supermarket imitation mozzarella. A rubber ball with no flavor, no creaminess, no juice................. It's like when you have a juicy ripe tomato out of the garden and it's perfect with a dash of salt, as opposed to a tomato that is sitting in the refrigerator and becomes tight and tasteless. This was the latter. Don't chill the mozzarella!!!!!!!! Come on guys. A Taste of Italy? Really. Hand that mozzarella out in Italy and they'll hang you in the public square. I gave three stars to not crush them because maybe they just dumbed it down to the local crowd. Call it- A Taste of Wilmington though.

This place is really good. Every time I come up from FL to visit my parents in Wilmington we always make a stop. The sandwiches are huge and reasonably priced.

Had not been in years, and it did not disappoint! Just as good as it has ever been. Employees are so friendly and efficient. Food is absolutely amazing!

DH brought me here today for lunch. He's eaten here before with a friend. I wasn't in the mood for a sandwich, although the menu had some nice choices. DH ordered the chicken parmesan with fresh mozzarella cheese. I decided on the Shrimp Fra Diavolo over pasta (penne). My lunch was excellent! Not overly 'fra diavolo' but just the right amount of spice for me. The sauce was so flavorful and slightly chunky with onions, garlic and seasonings. There were five large shrimp that were very tender, not overcooked. I had a couple bites of the chicken parm. The chicken was ever so lightly breaded and topped with fresh mozzarella. I would definitely order this for myself, although would split it. It was huge! It was much better than the Italian deli further north in Hampstead (too much breading on very thin pieces of chicken, plus a very soggy hero roll). There are several tables to have lunch; or you can do take-out. There's a grocery section with pastas, canned sauces, gnocchi, canned foods, and a refrigerator section with prepared pastas. I wanted to buy a couple to have at home but had some shopping to do, so we'll go back another day and pick up some meals for dinner.

Your food most definitely is coming out hot. Customer service was outstanding the day I was there. I had the spaghetti and meatballs. You're getting more than enough of food to eat for the price. Now the taste of the spaghetti that day was a little bland no cap. But it is what it is.

Wow..for Italian food this is the place to go!! Varied selection of sandwiches and take put meals. If you like Italian gotta try this place!! Also buy their grated Romano cheese. I always, have it on hand

From the moment I called in an unexpected first time pick up order & spoke with Tiffany I felt right at home. Tiffany assisted me with grace, patience, professionalism, expertise & above all a multitude of kindness. When I arrived I was immediately taken in by the atmosphere & felt like I was in my Italian Grandfather’s home. Then I met Tiffany in person & was greeted warmly with more welcoming assistance. The bonus was opening up all the authentic Italian food at home with my Mom, sons, their girlfriends & myself & let me tell you it was AMAZING! We had the meatballs, chicken parmigiana, stuffed shells, spaghetti, penne, sauce of course, salad (the dressing was incredible) & we topped it off with cannoli & cheesecake. Do not walk - RUN to “A Taste of Italy”! Thank you Tiffany & Team for a memorable family dinner. Much Appreciation & Gratitude from a Long Island Italian! ?? ❤️

Good place to grab a breakfast sandwich or lunch. Very clean and orderly place. Can sit down or take to go!!!
