We had another pizza place in Wake Forest that provided us with NY quality pizza for years. Then they changed ownership and the quality and customer service changed with it. We had tried the pizza at this location before Mario’s took it over and it was not all that impressive…until now.We have found our new go to place. As a native New Yorker, finding a slice that meets my expectations is tough, finding one like we had today at Mario’s exceeded those expectations. We will be back for many times to come. THANK YOU!Oh, and the customer service we received on the phone and in person today really put an exclamation point on our experience.
My husband and I just recently discovered this place and we really love it. The food is always fresh and delicious and the prices are excellent. I also wanted to be sure to mention that I was in there today (Saturday, 4/16/22) and the young man who was taking orders at the front desk was so polite and friendly. He greeted me very nicely and asked how my day was going, repeated my order back to me to make sure he got it right; and when it was done, he even brought it out to the table where I was waiting (it was a to-go order and in the past, they have usually just called out to let me know it was ready, which is totally fine, but I thought it was such an extra thoughtful gesture for him to bring it to me.I also observed him greeting another diner and asking them how their meal was. I was so impressed with this young man and his excellent customer service skills and wanted to make sure to leave a good review for him and for this great little restaurant. I hope the restaurant owners know what a great asset they have in this employee!We are happy to have Mario’s nearby and highly recommend them to our neighbors.
Really really good NY style pizza. The BBQ chicken pie is a family favorite. They always busy but never mess up our order either which is rare these days!
Ordered NY style pie with Sausage & Mushrooms. Excellent pie. Sauce flavourful, cheese wonferful and crust was great.Clean place and friendly staff.I will go there on a regular basis to try other menue items.
Superb italian food that impressed my VERY discerning italian mother! Mario's makes his food fresh. The eggplant parmigiana is better than anything you will get at a gourmet restaurant. Mario also makes his dough for the pizza and subs and it is so fresh and perfect. The salads, the pasta, the seafood pasta ... everything is delicious. The ingredients quality and the preparation skill are amazing. And for such a deal. I can't believe this level of food is this price. Mario's is a gem.

Got the Grandma pie tonight and it was pretty good. I was leery with it being a round pie and not square but overall it was good, would get again.
They have the perfect combinations of NY thin crunchy pizza around. The Vodka sauce on a pizza is life changing. OMG the taste is out of this world. The prices are average but the quality is priceless.
