Wonderful Calamari, and Ziti with Eggplant... DH loved the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich too. Bread was scrumptious also. Appreciated greatly having choices of 'Lunch Portions' of pasta dishes, which were generous. Service was attentive! Enjoyable lunch repast, without being crushed in - by other diners encroaching - especially now-a-days.
My husband and I drove here from New Hampshire for a road trip vacation with our son and wanted some good Italian food. I gave two stars because the food here was delicious, but the service, not so muchWhen ordering our food tonight we asked to do the "build your own pasta" with spaghetti and tomato sauce with some melted mozzarella on top which when looking at the menu should have been roughly $13. When the pasta came out, the sauce was a meat sauce. It took the waitress roughly 20 minutes to come back and check on us. When she did, we asked to have it sent back and make a new one with plain tomato sauce. A gentleman then came over wanting to clear the mix up so we explained to him what we ordered and it appeared to be that the waitress had written down that we asked for the 'baked spaghetti" which on their menu comes with meat sauce, but we continued to clarify that we just wanted spaghetti with plain tomato sauce and melted mozzarella on top. Both the gentleman and waitress apologized and all seemed good. When we got the bill, we were charged for the "baked spaghetti" dinner (the one with the meat sauce) which was $17 and we were then charged an additional $4 for changing the sauce to a plain tomato sauce which was labeled as "Al Forno" on the receipt. When I asked the waitress why we were being charged $21 for a spaghetti dinner, she was not sure how to respond and said that " it is just how we ring it up". With a tired, crying baby we decided to just bite the bullet, pay the bill and leave. I do regret not asking to speak to a manager about this as it is outrageous to charge someone that much money for spaghetti, sauce and cheese. I was also taken back that not only did they not take the meal off of the bill, but they charged us more! It's very disappointing and unprofessional. I attached a picture of our charges for viewing. If this whole mix up and overcharging us didn't occur I would have given this place 5 stars, but we were not pleased by the service here tonight.
This is our favorite Italian restaurant. We have gone there for years and the food is consistently great! Large menu and everything is delicious and reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly! Great takeout as well as dine in. Perfect lunch spot too!
Whenever I've eaten at the restaurant the food is always hot and delicious, but for the first time ever I decided to order takeout yesterday, and I showed up about 20 minutes after i made the online order, had an 8 minute drive home and the food was cold when i got home. Chicken Alfredo and Fried Nacho Cheese Raviolis. It seems like they don't bother to keep the to-go food on a hot area until the customer comes to pick it up, otherwise how could it possibly be cold 8 minutes after it leaves the restaurant? Also, when I showed up, I spoke to the girl at the front desk and instead of going to get my food right away, she spent about 3-4 minutes getting one of her waitresses some change and showing her how to get change on her own (I guess the waitress was new there). Seems like she could have gone and gotten my food first, then come back to do that. I'm sure that contributed to the coldness, and I also found it kind of rude.
Place was cute, quite large. Menu was a tome; took forever to pick something. Bruschetta was meh. Not enough sauce or flavor. Had to add s&p. Chicken picatta was huge! Good flavors, although oily. Salmon and scallop special ruined the meal, very fishy. The waitress was delightful, very attentive. My search for good Italian food in RDU continues:(
Fantastic place. This is officially our new Italian spot! We got spinach and artichoke dip, lobster ravioli and two desserts. Every dish was fantastic and the employees and owners were very nice. One even ran out to give us our toddler's shoe when we left it there. Because our kid is some sort of shoe ninja. Will be back!
Great food!!!! Have tried several things on menu. Spinach Artichoke dip, Nonna Pizza, Tiramisu, Tortellini Genovese and Penne All Vodka are all amazing. Separate take out section on weekend is always hopping but the girls that work it are super nice an efficient. Male host inside is super nice!! Definitely put this place on your list to visit from great food in Wake Forest.
I think the food is pretty good here, I really don’t have any complaints about the food. My problem is they raised their prices from $9.00 for a plate of pasta to $18 for that same dish. I just can’t justify spending that much money when a 1 pound box of pasta cost $1.50.
Awesome food and staff is very friendly! Our waitress was Donna….such a lovely lady. It was our first time…definitely won’t be the last!
0/5I'll start by saying our waitress was nice. Our horrible experience was not her fault. The kitchen staff/food however ? They must be impacted by some sort of pasta shortage I haven't heard about before cause the Baked Zitti came as a plate of sauce with hardly any cheese or pasta, it was literally a plate of Watery Tasteless "sauce" with a couple zitis under a tiny sliver of cheese. I ended up eating some of my son's Kid's pizza cause what I ordered was so nasty. Also got charged for burnt bread and an iceberg lettuce salad ?♂️I will never visit this place again, nor will I ever recommend it.
