Great food. Fabulous bartender. She was very attentive + personable.

Friendly service and the breakfast Burrito was outstanding

We got a suite and there wasn't anything "sweet" about it. The pull out mattress was terrible. No adult could sleep on it. It is only somewhat suitable for a kid. The room needs cleaned and updated. Breakfast was to go chocolate muffins and granola bars. I understand due to Covid, but I expect better from Marriott. The shower curtain rod was bent so after a few minutes the curtain sank to the middle of the rod. The mini fridge was being held up by am unpainted piece of plywood. No plastic cups for water in the room. Air conditioner was very loud. Mask enforcement was minimal by staff and guests. We were supposed to stay on our return trip, but booked somewhere else. Won't be back.

The Bistro is located in the lobby of the Courtyard Marriot. The food and drinks are over priced. There are many better places to visit in Historic New Bern

Stayed here on our drive up from Florida , as this is usually our halfway point. We called the front desk to complain because we found the room to not have been cleaned completely and with being in the midst of this pandemic, we were very concerned and disappointed, And to make matters worse, our car was broken into that night and everything was stolen. There are no security cameras on the premises & they entered the car through the window and that is why the alarm did not fo off. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

I was very disappointed in the room. I selected this hotel since it’s a Courtyard, which is usually a very consistent hotel. I also selected it because they allow dogs. The front office staff was nice but the room was not impressive. My room was very cold so when I went to adjust the thermostat the heat turned on instead. The front desk said they would make my room VIP ??? Which I have no idea how they would stop the heater from coming on? Secondly, the glass in the shower shook for the majority of the night (no clue why?) The toilet seat would shift every time it was used and more often than not there wasn’t enough water in the toilet to flush everything down. The worst part, however, is the sheets had a very heavy scent of either cologne or perfume which I tried to convince myself was just the detergent although I’m almost positive the sheets or comforter was not clean. Finally, there was hair in the shower drain. I think I slept for 2 hours max. When I called the front desk at around 6 am and told them a few of my issues they said they would let the manager know and they would call me by Monday. They said the same thing when I checked out. Well it’s late Tuesday night and nobody has contacted me and there was no discount to my room.

Traveling through the area on our way to Asheville and had a reservation for 1bedroom king suite. We are lifetime Gold Elite members and used online check in. We got to the hotel at 7:30 and the counter agent, Anthony was perplexed by our reservation. He played on his computer for 5 minutes and finally said that they were oversold on our room and could not check us in. We questioned how we were checked in and now we don’t have a room? He stated that they were over booked and he would give us two king rooms. We have a 10 year old, not putting him in his own room, because they were not adjoining or even next to each other. He was not willing to help find a solution. He told us that he tried to contact us but did not have a number and email came back undeliverable. That is untrue as we pulled our profile and showed him all that info is on our Marriott profile. We called Elite customer service, and they said they had not been contacted by the hotel as Anthony stated also. Ended up driving further to Hickory to get a room. Avoid thus property as it is poorly ran and do not follow Marriott policies.

Nice room, with some wear and tear. Bad location, next to elevator and ice machine. Maybe they saw my Marriott rewards was low? The hotel only had a dozen guest, so sticking me by elevator seemed wrong. The room was minus many touch items, like nearby dining info, which would have been nice considering grill was closed. I called the desk to see if it was a mistake there was not an ice bucket in the room, called twice, no answer. A few minutes later he called up. He told me due to virus it was removed. I checked out room fridge it didn’t have a freezer and didn’t seem cold and no way to adjust it. Later when I was going to brush my teeth I realized that the glasses or cups usually found in bathroom were also removed. I hopped in shower no hot water. In the morning I tried the shower again, still no hot water. Buffet for breakfast was also removed, they did have coffee, but it was empty. It accepts pets is the reason I stayed there. The dog enjoyed the stay at least.

Great Bartender. Strong Drinks. We stay at the hotel and had a night cap or two. Very talkative bar keep. Very friendly.
