We had a fantastic experience at your restaurant. The waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive. The service was impeccable. The food was prepared perfectly.What I would consider, from my experiences at other 5 star Italian restaurants, is minor but separates you from the best.I would create a better mood. Your lighting is saying that you are not into acknowledging an experience. The overhead lights are intrusive. They hurt your eyes. It screams no atmosphere. Dim them and invest in some sort of lighting on the table as in battery operated candles.Music is also lacking. Acoustical Italian music is always in fashion.We found that the staff sweeping the floor as we were dining was disgusting. The broom and the mere cleaning exercise was distracting and dismissive of our experience. Cleaning should wait until the patrons have left.Parmesan cheese should be swiftly offered as the meal was served. It was not. Complements on your great salad dressings. Cloth napkins would be complimentary to this dining experience. A big spoon should be offered without request for twirling pasta.
Me and my boyfriend are out to try all the restaurants in Statesville - I've been living here for almost all of my life yet I had never tried Sorrento's. The service we got was amazing. Our server, Chad, was extremely attentive and very friendly! I'm a bit sheltered when it comes to food, so I had a question about a soup I had never heard of. He brings a small portion out just so I could try it, and it was delicious! All of our food was, especially the garlic knots. He was so incredibly kind to us and checked on us frequently to make sure we were doing alright. Not to mention the restaurant is very clean and well kept with a great atmosphere. I'll be sure to come back next time I'm looking for an Italian fix!
Friendly staff and good food! I've been a few times and was happy with each meal. The bread is very good.
When we are driving through Statesville we often stop here as it used to be one of our favorite places. But the bread that I used to love so much was barely warm. It used to come out very hot. The salmon on my salad was very fishy as opposed to what used to order. I only took one bite. Then I went into the bathroom only to find that the area around the door closure was filthy. The door was white which made it even more noticeable. All it would have taken was some Windex or other cleaner to fix that problem. Upon a closer look it seems that much of the area had not been cleaned as well (i.e. doors, windows, etc.). Our waitress never came back so I finally walked up to the hostess area where two men were just standing there. One man finally came and helped us check out and get a to-go box. When I mentioned the problems he said "You just don't understand." Maybe I don't ... can't get good help, cost of food rising or whatever? But I won't be stopping there again.
We have been frequenting this restaurant despite living 1.5 hours away. We love the food and the service. It is my wife favorite Italian spot. The lunch menu is very affordable. The last time I was there I had the pleasure of being served by Kelsey. She was very cheerful, accommodating and prompt. Her recommendation of meals were delicious. We were not disappointed. She did not miss a beat and was on point with our orders and request. She is definitely a keeper because she is a great asset for the restaurant.
We had date night here this week and everything was great! I ate off my leftovers for 2 days. Portions were huge. Very friendly staff. My house salad was very fresh and delicious. My husband and I both ate with lots to take home for under $40. We will definitely be back!
Wow. So good! We ordered the chicken florentine pizza and were truly impressed with the flavor. Antonio greeted us and gave us the best server based on our horrible experience coming from mezza Luna. I can't remember the servers name here but she was so sweet, professional and on time with the food. We wereoffered appetizers, dessert and bread. I would recommend because of the service, the quality of the food and the price is unbeatable

I used to love this place. It’s has gone down hill in terms of atmosphere. I just don’t enjoy seeing the bus folks pants most the way down and seeing their underwear. My mother has no filter so she made her opinion known about it…. Out loud I might add. Then the fella made sure when near our table his pants were up which I was thankful for. That should not be in any restaurant! The food is still great though and our waitress was very attentive but I don’t think we will be back.
Upon being seated & orderering I mentioned I wanted to place a take out order, for my husband and to please not wait to put it in so we did NOT have to "wait" on it, she said ok. Service was lacking the last 3 times we were here. Plenty of staff working. My salad was forgotten- asked waitress- took 30min to get it. Our meal was served before salad arrived. Waited for our check too long. And ofcourse our take out order wasn't ready. Have been disappointed last few visits. Our meal was satisfactory.
