great great food and people
What a great experience!! Andy was FANTASTIC! Food was great! We even got fresh ranch pork rinds!! We will be back on our next pass through!! Thank you for the hospitality!
We just moved here and stopped in twice now. The BBQ is very flavorful, the sides are good, but.. man, someone there really loves pepper! We could not eat the red slaw or the BBQ sauces. Even the white slaw had pepper. The BBQ chicken was fall of the bone tender, and is a special on Wednesdays They have a wide variety of diet drinks, we were glad to see, like diet Cheerwine, diet Pepsi, Diet Sundrop, Diet Dr Pepper, and tea. They have several disserts, including pecan pie and banana pudding. The food and sides are mostly gluten free, which is nice. The bathroom was for one person, but is large and clean. There is a ramp to the front door and is handicapped accessible Friendly staff.
During a trip up north, my husband and I pulled off 77 to grab a quick bite for lunch. Immediately, I was struck by the eye-catching white lettered red roof proclaiming "Randy's Barbecue." It looked to be quite the place. I was a little apprehensive, not being a local and what not, but as soon as i entered, I knew we'd be in for a slice of southern family-owned restaurant goodness. There was a small line at the register, leaving time to scan the case of homemade-looking desserts. Randy's is also a people-watching jackpot. Young and old townsfolk alongside law enforcement and workmen on their lunch break. Everyone clearly loves Randy's. My husband got the chopped barbecue sandwich with slaw along with hushpuppies and fries. He said they were all very good. I got the bacon cheeseburger and oh man... We're talking a no-frills, yet perfectly executed cheeseburger-just salty enough, not too greasy, with the perfect meat to bun ratio. Then add the bacon and what you have is a road lunch that really just hits the spot. The onion rings were tasty too, and rather plentiful at that. So my takeaway is, just because there's BBQ in the restaurant's name, doesn't mean you shouldn't explore other aspects of the menu. The burgers here are legitimate and surely better than any other fast food burger you'll find on a road trip.
Good food and service for a very fair price. I ordered a foot long hot dog combo with chili sauce, slaw, mustard, and onions on top (yum! - it wasn't a Kogels hot dog, but hey, I'm not in Michigan anymore) and homemade potato chips with ranch dipping sauce. My husband had a BBQ pulled pork sandwich with slaw on top with French fries. Two large drinks and a banana pudding to boot. All this under $22! We'll be back.
We found Randy's by accident but were so pleased with our choice! We both enjoyed sliced pork sandwiches and amazing onion rings! We even tried the Bananna Pudding which I am still dreaming about! As an added bonus our waitress was on it, smiling and friendly the entire time! Definitly worth the stop! Great Job to the chief/pit master and entire staff! A+
This is a barbecue place, and being here many times for the first time I tried one of their hamburgers. Not the best but I have already eaten barbecue twice this week, thought I'd try something else. Next time back to their first rate barbecue either sandwich, tray or barbecue salad. Can't go wrong here.
There was 6 of us and we were hungry. Found Randy's BBQ on Google Maps. We were happy to have found them. Great little place to eat. It was busy yet we didn't have to wait to be seated you get to pick where you want to sit. Comfortably sat 6 people in a extra large booth so no worries if you have a small party wanting to enjoy some grub together. Our server was professional, patient covered with smiles and yes she kept our glasses full. So sorry we didn't get her name. 5⭐'s to her. The Food: BBQ Trays to hamburger,Stew we all ordered a variety. The portions plus taste was spot on yet save room for the Banana Pudding it is Delicious!Cleanliness and Care 5⭐'s too!One thing to be aware of if you are visiting for the first time like we did. Cash or Check only! We pulled together to pay so next time we stop by we will know. Don't let that stop you from dining here it's worth to stop at the ATM and grab your cash.Thank you for serving us.
staff very friendly, great food would definitely recommend trying it :)
Disappointed. We were looking for BBQ and brisket sounded good. No brisket on the menu. Ordered pulled pork sandwiches and they put coleslaw on the top, again not impressed. The fries were cold/soggy. We really wanted to love a local place.
