I always love eating here. My grandparents and I come often for lunch dates, and the service is always quick and very friendly. The food is really good, and this is one of the few places that know how to get an order right the first time! ? But really. I would give Groucho's 6 stars if I could!
I ordered three apollo dippers and a hotdog, when they showed up the heros were on white bread. When I called, I was told to talk to Doordash and that they "could do nothing about it." I have ordered from there many times and was always impressed with the taste and quality of the food. Now what was once a solid place to eat is circling the bowl. Hope they get it back together soon.
Comfortable, with friendly, welcoming staff and consistently good food. While it's not linen napkins and fine wines, it is still a couple notches above your average dive deli. Quite a few pubs could learn something from this grub.
We ordered 4 sandwiches and 2 drinks. All were cold even my Reuben and BLT was cold. The kids subs it was like they just threw cold cheese on top not even good cheese second time not happy with they're food.
First of all, small deli, with casual fare. Tables or booths. We had a sweet waitress with the longest braids I've yet to see (the only reason I mention this is because I failed to get her name) She did a nice job taking care of us. Both my husband and I had the Ruben variation. It came with a small bag of chips, a deli pickle spear and a great sauce on the side. The sause appeared to be a russian/thousand mixture very good. The sandwiches were very reasonable just $9.19 each. Soda was very reasonable at $1.99 each with free refills.
Great little Deli to go to for some Fantastic tasting Sandwiches...all kinds of them....Friendly Servers, Good Food and nostalgic atmosphere...Been there in operation since 1941!!! Wow! That says a lot about this wonderful place!Go try them out...Downtown Statesville, N.C. Easy to find! ??
I called the day before for sandwiches for my crew of 20. Not only was the food ready early, but the sandwiches were delicious and HUGE and we had help carrying it all out to the car. 10/10 would recommend! Other than this specific event, I order takeout from here at least twice a month and it’s always perfect.
Love eating here food is always great some of the wait staff could use some work but one of the managers, Craig, is awesome. He always dives right in and helps and genuinely cares about his customers.
Amazing food and great service, the chips and the 45 sauce were the best. I got a White Moose on sub bread and it tasted amazing.
Food was good. Sub roll could have been better. It reminded me of a hamburger bun. It could crumble apart. Bagged chips were good. Not overly salty. Home made blue cheese was pretty good with nice chunks. Waitress was nice and attentive.
