We found this place on Google while in town on business. I must say it doesn't look like much from outside but it is very warm and cozy inside, with open kitchen and a good layout. The service was prompt and very friendly. My colleague and I both had the pork chop special which was well prepared and tasty. One thing that caught my eyes was that place was well staffed, something not seen often lately. Also they all seemed very welcoming and happy with great team work. I see that as good management which by the way he came over twice to make sure we are doing ok!
Tonight my husband and I went to Fresh Chef for the first time to celebrate my new job. I had looked up this restaurant online to look at pictures and the menu to decide if it felt “fancy” enough for the occasion. The photos of the food looked to be pretty good but the photos of the actual restaurant felt like a deli. My husband insisted we still give it a shot since it’s in our hometown and only 10 minutes from our babysitter. So we gave it a shot.My thoughts on our overall visit, is the food isn’t worth the price. You can get a much better cut of meat and more classy experience (if you’re looking for that) at Epic Chophouse. Fresh Chef to me feels more like a place I’d stop in while on a lunch break or brunch with a friend. Our mashed potatoes were served with cold cheese on top & the $30 fillet was probably the toughest steak I ever had to cut through. The best part of our visit was the mimosas & the brownie dessert.Our server was kind though, as well as the other employees who spoke to us.

The food is very tasty , the atmosphere nice. The greeters at the door make you smile and feel very special! The kale salad is marvelous! ??Sometimes inconsistencies in the foods taste, quality and appearance depending on cook, I suppose. Otherwise a very good restaurant will keep coming back! THE NAME SAYS IT ALL!
My 3 year old son was served a raw burger after telling them we wanted his burger well done. I used to cut meat for a living and eat my steak rare but ground meat is actually dangerous to consume without being fully cooked due to the bacteria that makes it inside during the grinding and handling process. He didn't eat his burger when we was at the restaurant but wanted it at home after we were home. Luckily I split it to make it more manageable for him to eat and seen it was way to raw. I cannot trust a restaurant that makes a mistake like this on a child's order an adult is one thing but a childs shows complete disregard for childrens safety. Will definitely not be returning.
The food was okay. Very nice atmosphere and nice interior. They do have a bar. I think it would be a nice place for a date night, lunch or just dinner with friends and family. I was not overly impressed by the dish I chose... their version of the shrimp and grits. Not to my liking, but my friend said her salmon was light, fluffy and mild in flavor. She liked it. We had an issue with the way they handled a particular incident, embarrassing to me. It was not our waitress, she was good, sweet and nice.
I've tried their take out a few times but tonight decided to dine in. Flavor and presentation is exemplary. You can tell they use the utmost, fresh ingredients. Service was on point too. Food came out immediately and was delightful.Recommend Fresh Chef ?? ?? ? ?
