While in Statesville today Waiting on a doctor visit we stopped in for lunch. The place had a very friendly atmosphere and the servers were so sweet and very thoughtful. The food was good and we loved the salad bar. A place we will surely come back to.

This was a recommendation from a local and encouraged me to try the fish since it was Friday. What a great surprise! A place I would normally never stop at and an entire I would normally never try! Great on both counts .
Very clean, attentive waitress, salad bar was well stocked and clean and inexpensive, what more could you ask for. Plus they have a breakfast bar for $10. Nothing bad to say about the Boxcar Grill except that it's 600 miles away. Keep up the great work and don't compromise standards.
We stopped in on our way back to Lenoir from our daughter's Zoo field trip and this was our first time eating here and I must say we had an AMAZING experience! I wish I could remember the names of the hostess and our server because they were so sweet and helpful and went above and beyond making us feel welcome. The sirloin tips and ribs were cooked to perfection and the kids menu had my daughter's favorite cheese quesadilla. We went Friday 3/18/22 at around 5:30 and it will be well worth the 45 minute drive to come eat there again soon and hopefully our favorite hostess and server will be working.
Brought the family in for early Saturday morning breakfast on the buffet. It is a pretty decent deal at less than $12 a person including taxes and drink. Could use a bit more fruit than stewed apples and fresh cantaloupe but I'm not complaining. Lots of meat for us meat-a-terians. Pancakes and french toast are great. Best toast ever and eggs for days.
Great food. Sam (woman) was fantastic was so accommodating, friendly, she rapidly worked her area. Being a business person I would have her in management! I hope next time we see her thank you Sam!
I left my wallet in the seat of the booth we were sitting i realized it when we were like 3 mins.up the Rd.so made it back there in 3 mins. And no one had seen my wallet the table had been cleaned .My wallet had like $275.00 cash in it and it could not be found mind you no one else was seated at that table it was off in a corner no one would've seen that wallet unless they would've walked into the booth .I feel like my wallet was taken by the staff one young man kinda seemed specious to me .I thought for sure it would still be there because we mad at back so soon ... People who takes wallets regardless of who it was dont realize what all they are taken keep the cash if you feel the need but at least return the wallet with all the personal information in it please !!!!
