My grandfather has been taking me here for years now. The food is always hot and delicious no matter what you get from here. We always get BBQ to go from here so we can have some at home too!Very friendly staff and the hushpuppies are the best!
Fantastic bbq and sides. Served with sweet tea and hush puppies that are dropped when you open the door. Just over a mile from I-95 and the perfect stop for lunch. Local place don’t expect fancy, just regular folk and great food. We each had the small pulled port platter with cole slaw and green beets. Excellent. The pork barbecue was finely chopped and lightly dressed with a hot vinegar sauce.
BBQ is always great, husband loves it, but cashier was rude about my being on my phone. I'm 56 years old and I run a business that requires answering my phone. Be nicer...

Not exactly what I’d usually call BBQ, but whatever it was tasted pretty darn good. Think moist, shredded meat, well-seasoned and a touch spicy. Sides are typical Southern fare: cut string beans, coleslaw, etc. the hush puppies are really interesting: about as long as my finger, slightly banana-shaped, and ever so slightly sweet. If you could make cornbread into a donut, that’s kind of what I imagine it would taste like. They come with a honey butter spread. Plates have plenty of food, so you’re not walking away hungry. Friendly spot; expect the owner(s) to stop by your table to say hi. Only bummer is it’s out in the middle of nowhere, but if you’re on I-95, need food, and want to eat local, this is a good pick.

This was a perfect little family restaurant specializing in good Southern things to eat! (Apparently multiple locations; this one on Brightleaf.) You can order at the register, or sit down and be served. Our server, Lily, greeted us with a huge basket of hushpuppies. I had the delicious fried chicken breasts with boiled potatoes and the very best cole slaw. My husband had the combo fried chicken and BBQ with boiled potatoes and Brunswick Stew. It was fabulous, and we could not eat it all!! Our lunches came 2-3 minutes after ordering!! Wow!! Lily took great care of us, and refilled our drinks with caps to go when we left! We will do this again! Mr Parker has a winner here! (Guess they prefer cash, as we had a surcharge for using cards, but still happy!)

Decided to try this place on a whim and I am so glad that I did. The fried chicken and hushpuppies were excellent. Potato salad was one of the best I've ever had. And the chicken gizzards were breaded and fried to perfection. Will be visiting again!
