If I’d not committed to this exit, I would have turned around when I saw the Traeger rug out front and neon on the wall. The exhaust hood has lettering saying, “if you don’t smell smoked it ain’t real BBQ!” Well you can smell it, but the pulled pork didn’t have an iota of smoke ring. No pink to be found. If you tried really hard you could faintly taste smoke. The pork was incredibly dry and tough. The bun was cold. I also wasn’t expecting the sauce to be on the sandwich already. Tomatoes on a BBQ sandwich in ENC is a no go for me. It would have been better to let me sauce my sandwich instead of trying to drown it in sauce. Perhaps this was to cover up the dryness of the pork. The slaw was the only redeeming aspect to the sandwich. The Jalapeño-Bacon wasn’t at all what I was expecting. Perhaps that is on me, but throwing a a few slices of raw jalapeños on Mac and cheese isn’t standard for jalapeño Mac and cheese anywhere else I’ve ever been. The staff was friendly and the slaw was redeeming. This is why I give this review 2 stars rather than 1.

Patrick, usually go every couple of weeks, everything usually great. Took a friend today who rarely gets out and has never been to your resterant. She went spacefically for the briscut and I was looking forward to bbq chicken , you were out of both, as well as collards and potatoe salad. We got bbq beans that tasted like warmed up pork and beans from a can and Cole slaw like the dressing had not soaked into the cabbage. Mac and cheese not good either. I havecto say, the bbq and turkey we got(because you were out of the other) was perfect, just not what we wanted. This was 12:00, so this should not have been. Was very disapointed as everything is usually perfect. Was really surprised as one of my favorite places.

The first time I visited this establishment I was in love. Raved to family and friends about how the Brisket Sandwhich was the best Is ever had, and it was!!I visited today and ordered 1lb of Brisket....unfortunately it was full of fat, I did not look at the order (which I should have)...Dropped the Brisket at home with some other items and when I returned my son and husband complained about how fatty it was....they enjoyed the flavor, but I wasn't pleased that I paid almost 30 dollars for fat?The cornbread was delicious, but the Brisket made me truly upset to actually see there was more fat than actual meat to consume..

My husband and I were driving on I95 towards Virginia and in searching for a place to have lunch picked this restaurant. We are not disappointed, we ordered the The Smokehouse Sampler and sides of baked beans and slaw. The samples of meat were all moist and excellent taste. I am not a baked bean person but these were delicious and the slaw very good. We would definitely stop again.

We almost went to Cracker Barrel but their billboard changed our route. Everything we tried was delicious including the bbq sauces. Ribs were super tender and very Smokey. Beef brisket slightly dry but still very tasty. Cucumber onion crisply vinegary. Corn muffins large and filling. Potato salad very good as well.

In Carolina Premium Outlets, definitely worth checking out.Tender, moist, spiced just right/not too salty, Great smoke Ring and the smoke flavor is present yet not overpowering, overall high quality and impressed. I had both the pork barbecue and the brisket. Their cornbread is excellent too, they make it in the form of a large cupcake or a medium sized muffin. To the owners:Keep up the great work and we'll be in there regularly

First time eating at the restaurant. Had lunch today and I was very pleased at the pulled bbq sandwich. Great sauce, tender flavorful pork and the slaw was creamy adding another level of flavor. Also had the jalapeno bacon mac n cheese. I lived the smoky bacon with that jalapeno bit bur the topper was the texture of the pasta and I loved the white cheese sauce. Very creamy and everything was hot. Next time im saving room for that red velvet cake.

We went here last Saturday evening. Difficult place to find, both with Waze and Google. This is a typical BBQ joint in NC, walk in step up to the counter, place your order, find a seat and you will be called. There were four of us and we tried one sampler platter, a half rack of ribs and a pulled port sandwich. All the meats were cooked to perfection, everyone was pleased. The corn on the cob was great but the other sides were just OK: Macaroni & Cheese, Baked Beans, Cornbread and Cole Slaw. The staff was busy, but they made sure our orders were correct, etc. The sides seemed very expensive for the quantity. There should be a 'combo' price for the entrees that add one or two sides and a drink. Next time I am out this way I'll stop again because all-in-all this is a good place to enjoy BBQ. Also their Hot Sauce is very good.

My wife and I started a dinner thing on Wednesday. “Where we going Wednesday” We should have visited during the day. The staff were great, very helpful and friendly. We ordered “The Smokehouse Sampler” sides Sunday Style Potato Salad and Jalapeno Bacon Mac & Cheese. The sides were good, not great. Potato Salad and Mac & Cheese were delicious. The Sausage and pulled pork from the Sampler tasted like they may have been out all day since lunch, they were very dry and not much taste. The Turkey was the best. It was very moist and tasty. Brisket came in second behind the turkey. Probably will not go back. Side note—if you use Waze as a GPS it will take you to the back door behind the mall. Follow the signs on the road instead.

Brisket is juicy and melts in your mouth. BBQ tastes wonderful. Definitely a place I'd recommend. They employees were very nice and friendly and courtesy. They definitely helps up choose our meal. 10 Stars if I could
