It felt like service was a little rushed, yet we had no silverware at the table. Our appetizer was actually a larger portion than the main dish we got (bourbon chicken and shrimp). The mashed potatoes were a joke. Not even a full scoop, it looked like a child's size. The chicken was okay, but not great. The portion was laughable for the price. The waitress was nice, again, but it felt rushed (we hadn't stayed for even more than 45minutes, including the time taken for food to come), and it wasn't busy enough to warrant the attitude.
It was ok.The service was mediocre. As was the food.My waitress did not remove dirty plates at all from the table. I stacked the plates and slid the to the side near the isle. I didn't get a refill until I was almost finished with eating. I had time to eat an appetizer, dessert and entree before my drink was refilled.The food tasted like a high end TV dinner. Mashed potatoes and 'chicken' ..Including the dessert. The ice cream had ice crystals in it.I was full when I was done but still yet.I also never got a lemon for my water.But the experience was improved from the last time I visited..over a year ago. I didn't get service and walked out.
The food was absolutely yummy. One of my best friends Chan and I were on a trip her from Illinois me from Florida and we drove 2 dogs to chapel hill and stopped to see her cousin Lori on our way back to Jacksonville and she was so kind to take us to dinner. The service was great we had Mike as a server. He was awesome! The food was so delicious and the shark bowl was amazing. Next time we're down this way we will visit again. Thanks for the great food Applebee's and thanks for the awesome service Mike.
It has been years since we ate here but really enjoyed it . The service and food was good. I got the tex max bowl with rice, beans, corn and salsa., and hubby got the bourbon street chicken and shrimp which he enjoyed very much. Oh and we also got onion rings as appetizer…yum. We will definitely go again to eat there.
We ordered the Southwest Chicken BowlI'm still looking for the guacamole , 4 pieces of chicken and a lots of rice 2 spoons of rice.my husband still hungry . Our server left for brake .Never came back to give us napkin.The tables and they floor.was dirty.The manager he don't even help to clean anything.The host she was helpful and clean the tablesthat we was sitting. Before it was clean good food not anymore.Sorry Applebee's you was my favorite .Need better MANAGEMENT.
Got there and they had no clue where to sit us. Asked if we would set at the bar… sure. Bartender took forever to acknowledge us. Then we never got refills on drinks. She helped certain people at the bar while others got ignored. The veggies in the pasta bowl wasn’t cooked at all. I’m usually a great tipper but it was so bad I didn’t leave anything. Absolutely the worst Applebees ever.
Food tasted fair but it's not what it used to be I also got sick off of it I believe. I think my fiance got sick off of it to we will not be back for a good while at least. I used to be impressed but not anymore. The guy that waited on us was great tho but the food wasn't the best quality.
Ordered online, got there to pick up and they tell me they don't have the rack of ribs I ordered and they tried calling me several times, phone never once rang?? So I ordered something in its place. Get home with the order and the food is ice cold, only thing that was hot was the food I ordered in place of the ribs. That tells me that my food sat there for an extra 25 minutes while they cooked cooked what I had to reorder. Then my order doesn't have everything with it, my son's order didn't have everything and my steak was almost RAW!! I asked for medium well. I will never order from the Applebee's in Shelby on Earl Rd again!!
We had an amazing experience at Applebees in Shelby tonight. We had a party of 16 with checks split 5 ways, lots of drinks, a birthday celebration with cake and all and Stevie did absolutely amazing ! Nothing was wrong everything came out fresh all the drinks were awesome and the only help she had was running the food out. She’s so cool and down to earth and good at what she does. We can’t wait to go back for drinks when she’s on the bar!! Stevie deserves a raise! She does it all With such grace. We will be back for sure
What a bad experience, we had company to come in. They wanted to try Applebee's. In Shelby NC. Well let's just say we want be coming back. The food was disappointing for the price. On top of that the service was sorry. She took our order brought our salads out before our drinks. No silver ware I had to go ask another waitress if she would bring us some so we could eat our salads. She still hasn't brought us our drinks. Then the food came out. We still had no silver ware then had to ask another person to get refills on our drinks. Then try to pay our bills. If it was busy I could understand but it wasn't.. let's just say we had to go to MacDonald to get some burgers, because we was hungry. After paying$78.00 you would think we would have been full. SORRY SERVICE AND FOOD ?
