I'm posting this same review for Tobacco Road Golf Course, Holiday Inn Express, The Flame Restaurant, and Fairview Dairy Bar.We drove down from DC to play at the golf course; so we stayed at the hotel and ate at the restaurants. All of our experiences were excellent. The HI Express was clean and comfortable and offered a sanitary breakfast buffet with varied food choices.Tobacco Road is a top-notch golf course, a wonderful design (RIP Mike Strantz), so much fun to play (hey, we drove 6 hours so we played two days in a row!)Bang'n Scallop appetizer, 8oz ribeye, and well done fries were excellent at The Flame Restaurant. And The Dairy's ice cream (bunny tracks and mocha almond fudge) was tasty, smooth and chunky at the same time.I hear that Sanford is growing ... we saw new schools and new neighborhoods. Good luck. Thanks, Sanford NC (and Google Maps Reviews) for a very nice visit.

The loaded French fries & house made ranch were a delicious appetizer. My date and I were told asparagus isn't always on the menu but they had it available so we both ordered it as our side & enjoyed it. She loved her tuna, the appetizer portion was perfect and raw as she preferred. My steak was very well flavored and cooked to perfection. The mushrooms had that canned metallic flavor but our server assured us they were fresh. Service was good. Lounge is beautiful and reminiscent of an old steakhouse. It was packed, glad we called ahead for a reservation.

The atmosphere was very nice, service was above average and the food was ok. For the price I was expecting so much more. My ribeye resembled what steak and eggs at The Waffle House looks like. It was 1/2” thick and overcooked. I didn’t send anything back or complain, but don’t feel like this dinner justified the $200 I spent. Perhaps your experience will be better.

Service was amazing. Bangn shrimp was amazing. My prime rib was very fatty and at one point had problems cutting it. Wife had the ribeye, steak was cooked perfectly. Brussel sprouts were no that good. Huge side salad. I've had prime rib at The Flame and Davidson and the quality was poor.

Saw that no reviews had been posted in quite awhile. We were part of a group of 6 adults dining at dinner. Restaurant was very busy due to a shooting competition in town. Bartender was working very hard by herself- took awhile to get drinks or refills. We were there on prime rib night- everyone enjoyed their meat. Morgan was a friendly and good waitress. Would eat here again when in town.

This place disappointed us from the start. The bread that came out was like store bought Hawaiian tolls heated up, the Cesar salad was like a tossed grocery salad , the bang bang type shrimp came on a plate with no type of garnish at all! We ordered Prime Rib was okay not anything spectacular. And the “mashed Parmesan potatoes” were no lie… instant mashed potatoes! I can’t believe we spent $131 on this meal!! I feel like I was robbed! So disappointed!

So I came here for a date night. The reviews were scary lol, but we decided to try it. Our meal was 91.00. We got a water, a margarita, and a tea. Appetizer of baha shrimp, prime rib with loaded baked potato, a rib eye and mashed potatoes. I'm a huge foodie and of were paying alot for food it should amazing. Well :/. Only thing worth eating honestly was the prime rib. Mashed potatoes smelled instant but didn't really taste instant, but texture was rubbery. Fries were soggy over cooked. The steak, tasted like Applebee's my steaks are better. Baked potatoe was ridiculous bland. And it is true you do get rolls. I won't be back. Seems like they are trying to be something it's nit!

Went for dinner with family last weekend. My wife ordered the ribeye and she commented that she loved the description of the level of doneness for the steaks on the menu. She ordered medium rare and said it was perfect - one of the best steaks she's had in a restaurant in a long time. I ordered the salmon (and wild rice) and it was excellent too. My only observation that I would point out is that the cooks pre-plate the rice and put it under the heat lamp while the protein is cooking. The result was that the rice was a bit dry and not very warm. It would be better to add the rice to a pre-heated plate after the protein is finished - a minor detail but something to consider (I design restaurant kitchens so I pay attention to minor details like that). All in all, everyone in our party of seven were very satisfied with their meal and we would definitely give the Flame two thumbs up!

One of the best steaks I have ever had. Grilled perfectly. The Bangin Shrimp were amazing too. This place was recommended by an employee at the Sanford Antique Mall and could not have been happier with out choice to come here. The staff was so friendly and happy to seat us even tho we didnt have a reservation. Will definitely make the drive back to The Flame.

Possibly the best steak I've ever tasted! And I've tasted steaks all across this country, for commuting an hour away it's still worth the trip
