Had lunch with some coworkers at Smoke and Barrel. I had a salad with added grilled chicken it was good. The vinaigrette dressing was tangy without being too sour and sweet without being cloying. My coworkers were impressed at the number of whiskey and bourbon offerings on the wall behind the bar. Definitely not your typical bar with bar food since amazingly, they don't offer any fried foods.
It was ok. The waitress was nice. Food was good. I had the rice bowl with brisket. The brisket was really good but the rest of the bowl lacked flavor. We would still go back. Good first impression overall.
Sat on patio because we had the puppy. Every smoker in the restaurant comes to the patio smoke like a smokers lounge. Not appealing at all to eating.Waitress recommended the special of the day which was supposed to be their take on fajitas basically. Completely inedible. Meet was mostly fat and gristle. Tortillas were like bubble gum. Veggies cold.
Stopped in with a coworker for a first time visit today. I had the brisket Philly collards for lunch and it was amazing. They were busy for lunch, but the service was excellent and fast. We will definitely be back when we are in the area!
You can smell the delicious food outside before you walked inside the restaurant. That caught my attention. My lunch was tasty but it was not hot. I enjoyed the hotdogs and the collard greens. The Dragonfruit cheesecake was not sweet at all to me. I will go back to try other different options of food from the menu.
I think this might be the best place for god food and great selection of craft beer anywhere in Sanford. I’ve only been here a few times, but every time I come, the food is great and the staff are always friendly. The restaurant is clean and I don’t have any complaints. I look forward to coming back next year when I’m in town again.
Overall the experience was hit and miss. I had the brisket plate and it was very fatty and felt like it was more of a roast, and to be honest I was expecting smoked brisket. My buddy had a BLT and it was pretty bad. It barely had any bacon (two tiny pieces). However we also had a burger and that was great. So, overall a 3 out of 5.
Had lunch at the bar, Chelsea was the only server and handled the entire restaurant with such ease. Such a professional! Her ability to handle everyone was amazing and with friendliness and on time service. Wonderful grilled cheese with bacon and tomatoes!
Always excellent. Sometimes it gets busy and the wait can run a bit, but it's all worth the wait. Great local craft beer selection and rotation with tasty meal options.
Great place for a night out. Perfect ambiance. Food was good, brisket and hamburger great. Lamb was grissel tho. Server was great. Quick, reasonably priced. Craft beers, etc. Sanford needs more like this. Outside seating. Busy on a Tuesday night.
