Food was great , staff was very friendly!

Very good food. OUTSTANDING service from Chelsea , hope I spelled that right.

This experience could never have been better! We started with a dozen oysters ($20, Really???) My husband had brisket and ribs and I had grouper cakes. EVERYTHING was delectable and amazing! The grouper cakes were BETTER than the best crabcakes that I’ve ever eaten. I had more oysters for dessert, this time fried and my husband had the carrot cake. We will now ALWAYS stay overnight in Rocky Mount on our Connecticut to Florida trips JUST TO EAT HERE!!! The staff could not have been friendlier, and Lou, the owner has set a dynamic and a standard that is of the highest level. We cannot wait to return. THANK YOU!!!

Wow! The fried chicken was amazing. Very friendly staff. Really good Old Fashion drink. Christy was our service and she was excellent! We loved this place!!!

Can’t give enough stars ⭐️. My husband and I had the best experience and the food was absolutely amazing. The drinks “WOW”. When I say you won’t be disappointed believe me you won’t. We will definitely be returning soon and often.❤️❤️❤️ There is still great customer service and delicious restaurants that exist in Rocky Mount. Thank you Thank you Thank you

We had eaten here once before about five years ago. Glad to say it was great both times. The waitress was very nice and engaging. She had just moved to NC from California. We also lived there many years ago, so we shared experiences. The food was delicious. Wife had meatloaf, and I had the ribs/brisket with dirty rice. Loved every morsel.

- and this is from an Englishman whose national characteristic is to understate things. My American wife an I were driving through Eastern North Carolina and decided we needed some food at two thirty on a Sunday afternoon. Not the best time. We called LouReda and they were serving brunch until three. Helpful on the phone: pleasant greeting when we arrived and a delightful waitress served us. The food was superb; beautifully cooked and presented. We will go out of our way in future to go back.

My grandfather enjoys the simple things so I was a little worried this would be a little too “hip” for him but he was amazed by the meatloaf :) when it first came out he said “… what is this?” because it was a “fancy presentation” but he LOVED it from the first bite. Our food was fresh, hot and tasted very homemade which was exactly what we wanted after driving 9 hours from Florida. The beer/cocktail menu was great and they had a great selection of North Carolina beers. The fries were super fresh and everything was SO flavorful. I would love to try more on the menu, we just didn’t have any more space! The only thing I would suggest to the restaurant is to ensure people are greeted when they first walk in; the host walked away right when we walked in without saying anything and we stood there for a couple minutes without being acknowledged. Other than this small suggestion, it was wonderful food and a great last meal to finish our vacation with.

We came in to order oysters to go. The lady at the front door was very welcoming and helpful with placing our order. She was very nice. We sat at the bar to wait. The bartender was somewhat nice offered us water but was slow getting it for us. They were however short staffed she stayed. The place has a very nice atmosphere. I will dine in next time.

After leaving on restaurant which we have a 1 star to we tried this place. I was a little nervous at first because one of the hosts seemed like we were going to have another bad experience. Luckily, that did not happen. The lady hostess turned the start of our experience into a much better start. Our server was sweet and gave good suggestions. The food was great. We aren’t sure but a draft beer may have been bad, husband’s tummy is not feeling great. But overall we were very thrilled.
