After reading other reviews we decided to try this restaurant. So happy we did. They have an extensive menu with reasonable prices. The portions are large with authentic flavors. Definitely try the fresh guacamole. Amazing! We weren't able to order dessert because we were full. Maybe next time. We also noticed a large number of items available on the lunch menu for only $6.25. You can't go wrong with that.
We visited for a Birthday party ? the staff was very accommodating due a last minute change in plans they took our party of 15. The server was very prompt and made sure we were aware of all the drink specials. The food came out fairy fast and was hot and great. They made sure that they paid attention to everyone's allergy notifications when preparing the food. The drinks were very good. Thank you Chris for accommodating us!!
I've eaten at the HWY301 location with family and friends forever. My wife is new to the area but loves El Taps as much as the rest of us. She was a little distracted when placing our order today and forgot to instruct \\\"no lettuce\\\". She called back and spoke with a manager, Suzanna (I hope I spelled your name correctly!), who explained the policy is to replace items if the company made a mistake. While it is against policy to replace items for free when the customer makes a mistake, Suzanna was very understanding and offered to replace the item free of charge. We live about 40 minutes away (round trip), and this experience was certainly appreciated. My wife claims everyone there is really nice (I've not been to this location....yet). Big THANK YOU! to Suzanna and the El Taps team!
DELICIOUS, YUMMY, FANTASTIC food, environment, staff, drinks....all the above. I will always, always, always make this a stop. This place was great!
Food is ALWAYS prefect. Staff is super friendly. Food comes out so fast, even when they're packed with just about every table \\u0026\\u0026 booth filled.

Worse lunch ever...ordered a simple taco salad and it took 30 min. to receive it. When it finally got to my table it was swimming in water...I hope they washed the lettuce and forgot to dry the lettuce...if not, isn't no telling what that liquid was...needless to say I couldn't eat anymore. The manager took the food off my bill but he wasn't apologetic for what I was served...I'll will go to El tap on 301 but I will never go back to this one?
It was great just that the hostess sat me and my guest near 10 or more people. It was a little too much. The drinks were great and we enjoyed the food.
My husband and I go to El Tap usually a couple times a month. It is simple, quick and tasty. I like the two item combo (my choices: burrito, no red sauce, and beef and cheese flatbread) or the chicken and cheese nachos. My husband changes up and normally gets whatever their daily special is. Chips and salsa are normally good but have been known to be off/stale at times. Rice and beans are a good side. Prices vary and you do need to watch to see that they charge you what is priced on the menu. Their other Rocky Mount site is good as well as the one in Wilson (Wilson - probably the best of the three).
We had just had a long drive and this was a perfect place for dinner. Our waitress was fantastic and the food was better than we expected.I would definitely eat there again
