The place wasn't buy I counted 20 tables empty but we still had to wait 25 minutes to be seated Waitress very nice and took our order immediately We finally had to leave because we never got our food The grade is only 92.5 But the Waitress was super nice We still left her a nice tip.
I had to give a 1 star because they don't have zero. I have enjoyed Cracker Barrel across the country for years. It is my go to when traveling. My husband works near this location, so we go when I'm at work with him. This store needs a new manager. This is now the 6th time I have been to this location where there were out of most of major food items. Today we purposely ordered food before drinks with the intention of leaving if they didn't have what we wanted. Waitress, who was nice, took our order after we sat for 5 minutes. Then 5 minutes after that she came back with a menu so I could decide again what I wanted. Because she was polite and had brought our drinks we stayed and I ordered something else. Not that Manager her cares, but I will never come to this location again. I will continue to go to other locations because this is the only one I have ever had this issue with. I know I'm not the only one that thinks service is lacking hear. I can hear guest around me complaining know.
I cant even give this a one star. We went yesterday at 7:30pm for dinner and it took forever to get a waitress to our table. Once she arrived we ordered our drinks and asked her to come back for our order. She acted like we were totally rude to ask such. Once she came back we began to order chicken and dumplings and were told they were out of them. So we once again asked if she could come back....almost a total mistake on our part again with her attitude. We she came back after a while we tried to order fried chicken....they were out of that also...the fish??? Nope out...so we asked tell us what you are out of verse us playing games. I think they had 3 or 4 items on the menu. We decided to just leave after all this. We have eaten here before and love cracker barrel but this is the absolute worst place to stop for a meal. Sorry but again I can't even give it one star...well maybe one because the sweet tea was ok.
Ordered chicken tenders and they were old the Mac and cheese wasn't any better. Will not be stopping here again
Me and my mom stopped here, on our way back home “Virginia” Finding the place was a little difficult, as it sits on a dead end street. Our waitress was amazing “Anastasia”. The food was DELICIOUS! It came out fast and was hot . My mom had a question about a certain candy. Ms. Rita was very helpful, letting my mom know they didn’t carry it. But she gave a store that did.
Stopped here heading home from vacation. First off the waitress brought the wrong order to the table. I ordered the Sunday home style chicken and she brought the southern fried. Not her fault as she said she had put it in correctly. She took it back and brought what I ordered. I should have kept what she brought me the first time! The chicken had apparently been sitting for a while. Barely warm and tasted like something frozen. Not fresh. I had ordered baby carrots and pintos as my sides. There was 5 and 1/2 carrots in the dish, dry with no taste. The pintos appeared to have been scraped out of the bottom of the pot and put in a dish. No liquid in them at all. My husband got them as well. We left them sitting on the table. He also got the hash brown casserole tots. He said they were terrible, mushy. I give their ice tea a 5 but what a disappointment to pay $34 for ice tea, the only thing we enjoyed about this meal. I think my husband hit the nail on the head when he said, people just don’t care anymore. Anyone who would serve those beans to a customer doesn’t care! The waitress didn’t care or she would not have served them and didn’t bother to ask why they were still sitting there untouched! It was obvious. The hostess and lady at the register were the sweetest!This is the first time I’ve written a review. This experience was that disappointing.
It was busy, but it's Mother's Day. Food was just okay. My meal was barely warm and the chicken fried steak was over cooked. My husbands fried chicken was coated with alot of breading. Service was quick considering it was busy. I'm convinced to get a really good meal these days you have to either go to a high end restaurant or just eat at home.
After a 40 minutes wait for a party of 3. once seated we placed our order and still waited another 45 minutes to get out food, when a party of 8 was seated 20 minutes after us placed their order and received their order prior to ours. Then when the food was finally brought to the table it was cold and some food was missing. The food would have been better if it was fresh and still hot when it was brought to the table. It seemed like they scrapped some of the hashround casserole off the place onto another plate. The server didn't come back to check on us, we had to ask the hostess to assist with refills and checking on our order.
We have been to several Cracker Barrel’s over the years. The food is always delicious, and we have *almost* always enjoyed the people who work there. Today at the Rocky Mount,NC location I cant say that we were enjoyable. The hostess seemed to have no clue what was going on, and was randomly giving people wait times. We were told 20 minutes would be our wait, and 1 hour later we were still waiting. We ended up leaving and grabbing some food from the gas station to get back on the road. I work in Management and HR for a living and I get the staffing shortages, believe me. But this was chaos, people were very upset, and then individuals were being told that it was a 2+ hour wait on to go food. I seriously hope that the management learns how to train the staff they have, because if not then they are going to lose them.
Absolutely love this place! The staff is always so helpful and friendly. I love the gift shop. The food is always on point every time I come. I have never been here and have ever had a complaint. This place is just so yummy. The biscuits are the best. I seriously need the recipe. I don't think you can wrong with anything you order from them.
