Good authentic cuisine! The food is full of flavor with generous portions. The kebabs were a little dry but all the other dishes we ordered were phenomenal. I would definently try the soup as an appetizer too!
We went here for a work lunch on a Sunday and were thoroughly impressed. Food was amazing, make sure to get your drink from the fridge.
Service was great and very attentive. Came out quick but was absolutely fresh. We started off with the hummus with lamb. The lamb was very flavorful and the pita bread was fresh—it could have been made over charcoal. We ordered the lamb haneeth and the lamb mandi platter. You know the lamb is good when they fall off the bone and are tender. The rice is good and flavorful. Just absolutely delicious and authentic. We returned the very next day and ordered some more (we’re from out of town so we had to)! We will be returning!
Superb bread (in my opinion). Food is not dissimilar to Indian but it's definitely different. Lots of tasty dishes to try. Only suggestion: they need to clean up the backside of the stuff strewn around, as the parking is in the back. Gives an unnecessarily bad impression of what might be inside, which is very nice and clean.
You could tell there were not many people working when we cane in, but the staff still created a friendly environment and recommended some wonderful dishes. Even with only one waitress/cashier to serve 5 tables, we received our food fast. The tea was delicious and the food was extremely filling - we took boxes home with us. I definitely recommend the lentil soup with any meal! Will be returning to try more of the menu soon.
I have had Iranian, Turkish and Greek food but never had Yemen food. I was thinking it would be very similar but this was unique. It was rice and meat and bread so how different could it be? This food is incredible with lots of flavor. I've tried 3 different dishes and they were all amazing. The hardest part is trying to figure out what you want off the menu because everything sounds so good. We had a chicken and rice dish and the chicken was so tender you could eat it off the bone with a spoon. The mint lemonade is like a liquid key lime pie. The restaurant was really empty both times we went but started getting busier later. It seems most people that go to eat there eat later in the evening. We've been back twice already and I will definitely be coming back again.
Delicious. Volcano style lamb w fresh baked pita. Yum. Tea was perfect. Kind attentive service.Very pleasant quiet place. Not fancy, if that's your plan
The food was so good I forgot to take photos. We had a party 5 and everyone one of us thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Will definitely return again when we come to Raleigh NC
Simply amazing- every single dish, down to the lemonade. My girlfriend and I stopped by on a whim and we're still talking about how great it was. The appetizer was delicious, then the soup, then both of the entrees we ordered, and the pita bread. And the mint lemonade that my girlfriend ordered- just blew our minds. I cook a lot... and this restaurant made me feel like I didn't know squat.Great prices, great service. This restaurant should be downtown charging you an arm and a leg.Special thank you to the cooks and staff- very excellent and inspiring meal!
Good food and large portion. The second time I ordered, the meat is kinda of burnt…
