An unexpected pleasure in the gritty urban landscape of downtown Raleigh. Woody's is as basic a pub as one can get, but the service was excellent, fast and courteous and the grilled chicken salad was freshly made and very generous and tasty. It's noisy and dark indoors, but If the weather is mild I imagine that sitting outdoors is very pleasant.
Use to love to come here and eat until recently experienced a racist interaction with the lady bartender that was working. Made the security ask for our IDs cause we looked “young” then kept side eyeing us with the security guard working. The thing is she wasn’t even our waitress. She came and took our food when we were done which we felt like she was ready for us to leave. It won’t be no next for us.
I visited this location on 4/9. The best bar food I’ve ever had in NC. Not to mention the service was amazing the waiter was just exceptional. I would definitely drive an hour for not only the food but the service!! They deserve 5 stars!
Great place for cold beer and drinks. Food is always good and we always go before heading to music shows/concerts. Love that they have outdoor seating as well.
Server was great. He hustled and was really nice to our large group. However, I ordered a mixed drink and I know it had zero alcohol. Yeah, won't be going back.
The service here is terrible. Not one friendly server in the place. We ordered food to go and no one could be bothered to tell us the status of our order, even 20 min after it was assigned to be ready. Oh, and after I called to make the order, only to be responded to with ‘Online please! *long pause* we don’t take phone orders….click.’ HOWEVER, the food was awesome, which is good since it took almost an hour to get it. The wings were crispy and delicious (although the mild were a touch too sweet for us but we know to go for medium next time). The Reuben and garlic tots were amazing. Really hoping we can avoid the terrible customer service and try this location again (we loved the Cary location but have since moved).
Our server Miranda was extremely friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were good, especially for the price. It was my first time here and I will definitely be back.
Came in Saturday night and no one greeted us. Found our own table and waited 15 mins, still nobody came to take our order. Same way with the bar, and nope they were not that busy. Didn't get a chance to try the food because I left. Not the best option for customer service.
One of the spiciest and tastiest wings I have ever had! My favourite is the cardiac arrest!
Solid cheap lunch specials and good bar food. The food quality is definitely worth the low price point. We ordered take out and enjoyed what we ordered. Nothing to rave about but nothing to complain about either.
