We were in downtown Raleigh for First Friday and were lucky to get an outdoor table for dinner with our daughter and grandkids. Drinks were really good as well as the food. In addition to appetizers, we ordered the chicken sandwich. Two out of three were perfect, crisp juicy chicken in a tasty bun. My grandson’s was a different sandwich-burnt chicken and not much of it. We notified our server, Dimitri who saved the evening! He apologized profusely, ordered a replacement (which tasted great) and took the cost off our check. Combine great service with very good food in a fun atmosphere = a successful restaurant!

Truly shameful that we didn’t order anything alcoholic, because the drink menu was amazing and the bar looked impressive. I got the shrimp and grits, which was delicious, and had a decent about of large shrimps. My partner had the bbq plate and demolished it before I could sneak a bite. I’d recommend getting reservations and sitting at the bar for a surprisingly intimate and fun date.

A+ for atmosphere, service, and drinks. Really good Brussels sprouts, biscuits, and fries. My party was less than floored by the shrimp and grits (red and saucy), the cheese plate, and the burger (dry-aged beef was not seasoned well and had a strong char taste to it). Overall, though a pleasant experience.

My son and wife asked us to join them here for lunch because friends of theirs who live in the area recommended it highly. We went for lunch on a beautiful day and found a very busy place with a line for seating. We waited and we were glad we did. The Whiskey Kitchen has some fun (and tasty) choices for food. But as the name implies, there is another primary attribute for the restaurant. They have a great choice of whiskey cocktails, flights and beer. Yes, beer lovers, you can join your whiskey friends and there are some great choices. Our server was very friendly and helpful and we were not rushed. All our food and drinks were fantastic, and the atmosphere in this repurposed commercial building made it more interesting as well. We highly recommend you give the Whiskey Kitchen a try.

This place is incredible! The service was really good. Took only a minute to get seated at 10pm, and we ordered a cheese plate. The cheese was phenomenal: very fluffy and scrumptious. Definitely the highlight of our meal. My partner and I ordered lamb burgers and I got a side of potato salad. Lamb burgers were better than most and the potato salad was perfect. Just the right amount of mayo and vinegar! Fries were well made.

Johnny was AMAZING. So educational and helpful. We got the Fall From Grace flight (Larceny, Conviction, and Redemption), as well as their signature Old Fashioned. Started out with the Chefs Board and then ended with the Lamb Burger - with collard greens - and Firsthand Burger - with fries. WE CAN NOT WAIT TO COME BACK! So many bourbons to try. He even found me a rye I actually like. We were so pleased with service, atmosphere, and quality of food!

This is a great place for a Friday night. The place is huge and has a outdoor seating too. I didn’t like the food very much, it was too salty for my liking. The service was quick. The vibe is energetic, if you’re looking for a quite dine out, then this is not the place. Overall an OK experience.

Visited Whiskey Kitchen to grab some cocktails! We also ordered the Chef’s Board! The atmosphere is amazing, it’s a place you can hang out in for hours! The cocktails were delicious and very reasonably priced :)

My family & I were looking for a fun place to go with outdoor seating. Even if there isn’t a table available outside, the huge garage door opens and suddenly your indoor table feels like you’re outside. I highly recommend the Brussel sprouts, the French fries, and the craft cocktails & sour beer. The crispy broccoli wasn’t what I thought it would be. I would have been happier with another round of drinks and more brussel sprouts.

All the appetizers we had were wonderful but the burger I ordered came out burnt with the burnt burger taste to go along with it. Great drinks though. Busy, popular place.
