Had a vegetarian Ruben and it was terrific. I don't eat meat and was happy to see a whole section of vegetarian options, along with all the other classic deli choices. Something for everyone. Order at counter and then pickup. Lots of seating in the dining area. Really enjoyed this place. It's a long time standard at the Village District.
Shout out to Marlo! ??♀️ Good people, good food, good meat! Gettin late, let’s eat! ?????
It was all very good! Nice folks!
here’s the thing. i like village deli, but i paid $16 for this and now i’m just unhappy about it. i would rather have my $16 and have never ordered this. there’s no brie except for in one bite, and one mere slice of avacado. the rest is just turkey and bread. mind you— $16….. this is at MOST a $7 sandwich
The manager Gregg is so disrespectful along with the worker Ashley. This is the second encounter that I’ve had with this young lady and Greg the didn’t care to hear my feedback about his employee. I come & get the same sandwich daily or every other day & things are fine but when these two here are there together and my order is being taken by either of these two it’s always a problem. The Chef personally makes sure that my food is always correct and fixes it when it’s incorrect. But today was the last straw when Ashley took my order and Greg didn’t care to hear what I had to say about her. Customer service is a real big deal to me & should be taken seriously in the food industry ! SERVICE MATTERS !
All of the salads were good. I could think of better versions of all of them, but they were tasty and satisfying.
This place has a huge menu. If you have a taste for something, they probably have it. That being said, not everything is excellent, but nothing is bad either. Their salmon sandwich is really good, so is the pimento cheese. Their sweet potatoes fries are good but they're regular fries are meh. The service is really good, dine in or carry out. It's good food at a good price with good service.
No service at all, crowded and very expensive. Felt like I had to tip. The tables was dirty too. The Village District has better places.
Visited for lunch on a Monday. The Reuben's were really great! The bread was toasted nicely- the corned beef was tasty, and the sauerkraut was great! Service was friendly. We will definitely be back when we are in the area.
The vegetarian burger is awful. It's dry and tasteless, falls apart and too big to fit in the bun. I am afraid to try their tempeh options now. I was very disappointed because the rest of menu is good. This burger should be taken off the menu because vegans and vegetarians will not be pleased. They should consider sourcing the patties from the same supplier that Rise Village District uses because their veggie sandwiches are fantastic.
