Fantastic Food and Service!
terrible food, only thing good was the clams and we ordered them to go they were brought out in a bowl and before we left we asked for a container to take them in and the bus boy threw them away. Did they replace the.no.. did we get billed for them..yes.the eggplant parmesan had no eggplant in it just breading..and let's not talk about all the cockroaches..
Simple small Italian Restaurant. Don’t expect it to knock your socks off but it will be good especially for the price. Pizza was delicious, nice and cheesy and not too greasy. Veggie Stromboli was amazing, veggies weren’t soggy and the cheese on the inside was so good. Chicken parm was good also. Not pictured was mussels and those were also good, we got the ones with the white wine sauce on them. I’d go back again.
We were referred here by a friend, so we had high expectations. My wife ordered fettuccini Alfredo and I ordered lobster ravioli because it was the days special. The Alfredo didn’t have much taste, the ravioli was average. Our meal totaled $60, with one soda. Not sure it was worth that, the worst part was the water was an older Hispanic man and he was really flirtatious to my wife. We both noticed it and after we left she told me how uncomfortable she was with it. I’m not sure if he was part of the waitstaff or manager or what, but it was not cool. We won’t be back!!
Great food and staff! can't wait to return.
Wanted to try their pizza since we were in the area. We ordered a large New Yorker and asked for it to be well done with extra sauce. They got both requests right and the pizza and service from our waiter were the highlights. Pizza was crisp, slightly chewy, in a good way, and very flavorful. What is with the girl at the front podium though? Did not catch her name and not sure how often she's there but she seemed immediately annoyed at our presence when we walked in. She ooked at us and then ignored us. I had to walk right up, stand in front of her, smile and say "Hello, how are you today? We'd like a table for 2, please". Still nothing. The gentleman, who turned out to be our waiter greeted us, she huffed, said something to him in what sounded like Spanish, and he seated us. I watched as people kept coming in for take-out and eat-in and saw her reaction all the while wondering why they put this person with that kind of personality at the front door. Very odd. Maybe she was having an off day? Aside from that encounter, we will go back to try other items.
I waited almost 2 hours for the food - that part wasn’t their fault. DoorDash drivers kept stealing it. However, the 2 hour wait was absolutely not worth it. I can’t believe how much people are praising this place. My spaghetti was literally just tomato sauce on noodles with 2 meatballs. No seasonings. It was super bland. The baked ziti only had flavor because of the cheese. Our “garlic knots” were just bread. Not much butter or garlic or anything else on them at all.Very underwhelming and disappointing. I expected a lot more flavor from an “Italian” restaurant.
This has been the best Italian food we have had since we lived in New Jersey. Everything was delicious and their pizza reminded me of when I visited New York as a kid! My only small complaint was that we had not received the bread that came with our dinners. I still feel they deserve the five stars though because the food was really that good :)
Served by the restaurant owner, the Italian native made me feel like I was at a cafe in back in his home country. The lasagna was very good and the calamari was the largest and most tasty I have had in years. The outdoor side-street atmosphere at sunsets was spectacular!
What a pleasant surprise! Excellent neighborhood restaurant! From the moment you walk in the folks are super friendly, down to earth and make sure you receive the best service possible. And the food is as authentic and good as it gets. We are visiting from out west and plan to return while on this trip...
