I called to place a pick up order and the guy says he can't take any orders over the phone right now (even tho they do at any other location) I decided to go over there and the guy is leaning over the counter on his phone. I said to him that I just called to here and you told me you not taking orders over the phone and he didn't say nothing. The entire place is a mess with fruit on the floor, the workers look dirty and shirts with wet stains on them. Containers with leftover pieces of fruit in them all over the counters. He started to take my order and I just told him nevermind and walked out. The place has went downhill. I'd rather driver to wake forest rd and watch them make my food in a clean environment. Never again!
I went there today earlier with my girlfriend and I’ve been to a couple of tropical smoothies in the area and by far this has been the best experience. Not only because of the food and smoothie but the employees too. They greet you the second you walk in and have the best attitude with you.you can see them singing and dancing in the back to one direction and they still bring out you’re order so quick and have a laugh about it too lol. And I notice it’s always the same people who work on the weekend and in the evening with the most energy and me and my girlfriend love it.
This is not a safe place for those with food allergies. I reported a wrong order that contained shrimp, because the person who ordered it had a severe seafood allergy- the crew laughed about the whole issue and was incredibly disrespectful. We will not go back to this location after this scary and completely unprofessional experience. Employee training is needed on safe handling of customers with food allergies.
When I go to this particular location my food is normally great including my smoothies. I ordered a flatbread with no bacon I found hair in it so I took it back in to explain and show them the hair. They proceed to make me a new one which was suppose to be no bacon on the flatbread I left tropical it was bacon on it at that point I was over it so I didn't bother to go back. I think hairnets should be worn when handling people food! And listening ears in case of allergic reaction.
One of the oldest Tropical Smoothie Cafes in the Triangle and one of the best. Glad to be part of such a great group of people and look forward to years of an outstanding relationship with them.
So we love tropical smoothie esp this location. But since owners have changed the last 3 weeks .. 3 Thursday in row I have gone to get my type 1 diabetic child a smoothie with Splenda and have insisted 10 times it has splenda...Splenda... 3 times in row it hasn't and her sugar has sky rocket. I never had this issue before. ..what do I need to do to ensure they make it as I ask.. I confirm it's with Splenda and it clearly isn't. We manage her sugar well and never had this issue before.Please do better. This is important.
The staff at Tropical Smoothie on Creedmoor Road is top notch! Jordan is extremely friendly and the manager (James, I believe) is very nice! The team at Tropical Smoothie keeps me coming back even when it’s cold! Thank you guys!

I love tropical smoothie don’t get me wrong and the managers are so sweet! But the few times I’ve been there there are a few people in the kitchen cooking FOOD with their masks down so during the heat of a mask mandate I would rather not buy food from here seeing people cook food I’m consuming without a mask converting their nose or mouth.
